23.01.2022 Over the past three weeks Year 10 Drama students have been working with local playwright, theatre maker and youth theatre director, Sean Riley of Free Agent Youth Theatre exploring issues of importance to them through Verbatim Theatre. Their small group devised performances incorporate word for word interview transcripts that they are structuring and staging with the intention to spur their student audience into taking action in their own lives about the issues presented. The impact of having an artist in the rehearsal room has meant that students are exploring staging ideas with greater experimentation, structuring their performances to engage their audience. Dont forget that our Year 12 IB Visual Art students are finalising artworks this week in preparation for their exhibition on Friday 4 September.

11.01.2022 Hello Glenunga Community This weeks the Wellbeing Prefects would like to share with you information on habits. As we come to the end of Term 2, now is a fantastic opportunity to review our habits and take the time to focus on positive habits in our life. Habits, at their roots, are a solidified mental process that form our subconscious self. As a result are what we fall back on when we arent thinking about something or when faced with a difficult task. They can be extremely... hard to gain and easy to lose. However, as detailed in this video, weakening those habitual negative mental processes is done by changing your actions incrementally. Once you have changed this habit, you have also changed the thought process that comes along with it! And you can then apply that thought process to other areas of your life to help break or build other habits! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-Cvl3_CH2A
