Shorter operating hours will be in place until libraries resume normal opening hours from Monday 6 July. Of course, the health and wellbeing of the community and our staff will be our top priority - so social distancing, visitor number restrictions and strict hygiene protocols will apply. 20.01.2022 || 4-week hiatus | No Breastfeeding Drop-In Clinic || Tanya our Lactation guru is on leave and during this time we will not be operating the Breastfeeding Drop-In Clinic held on Thursday afternoons in Bannockburn. Clinics have now ceased and are expected to recommence on Thursday 26th March 2020.... During this period families may contact the MCH Line on 132229 with any questions or concerns. The Maternal & Child Health Line is a free and confidential service available to parents and families with children from birth to commencing school age. The Maternal and Child Health Line is staffed by qualified Maternal and Child Health nurses. The MCH Line operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide information, support and guidance on lots of issues like child health, nutrition, breastfeeding, maternal and family health and parenting.

18.01.2022 || COVID-19 | Maternal & Child Health | Access is changing || To limit the spread of COVID-19 in the community, Maternal and Child Health services are adopting alternative modes of service delivery including telephone and electronic consultations in order to continue to provide services to families. To accommodate these changes, services may need to re-schedule some routine appointments. Families with a scheduled appointment will receive a text message containing informatio...n on the time and method in which the nurse will make contact. Unfortunately Drop-In and Group sessions will cease until further notice. 07.01.2022 || COVID-19 | Maternal & Child Health | Service Delivery || Golden Plains Shire Council Maternal and Child Health (MCH) programs continue to be reviewed to ensure community and staff safety with respect to COVID-19. From August 3 there will be some changes to the services in response to COVID-19, these changes will be reviewed as required.... Golden Plains Shire Council MCH service will prioritise essential services for families with 0-18 month old babies, and for families who require additional support. To accommodate these changes, services may need to re-schedule some 2 year old and 3.5 year old appointments. Families with a scheduled appointment will receive a text message a few days prior to appointment containing information on the time and location. On the morning of the appointment (or possibly the day before) you will receive a phone call with additional information and we will ask some COVID-19 screening questions.
