15.01.2022 Those who braved the drenching rain yesterday to be at the Shrine for the Wak witj Mary, Our Lady of Sorrows were truly not disappointed. They were blessed to be part of a solemn and prayerful service which started with theWay of the Cross led by the Brothers of the Alliance of the Two Hearts inside the cChurh, thenMass of Our Lady of Sorrows was led by an ever passionate and enthusiatic Marian devotee Rev Karmel Borg. Sadly the rain prevented us from going out for processio BUT Our Lady of Sorrows statue will be out on display during the rest of the week and also part of thisGood Friday pageant. 07.01.2022 MEET MR John Sant , the newly appointed President, Mr Joe Ellul and Mr Antonio Bonello, committee members of the Bacchus Marsh Good Friday Association Inc. At a special General Assembly held on Saturday 6th of January 2018, Mr John Sant,an established Builder/Building Contractor of Sant Constructions Pty Ltd, was elected unopposed as President/Chairperson of the Association following the unexpected announcement from Mr Lewis Stafrace to stepping down from his outstanding 30 ...years of Community services as Chairperson due health reasons. Mr John Sant is of Maltese descent. He was brought up in the township of Mosta, situated in the Northern Region of Malta before migrating to Australia as a very young adult in 1980 and is currently a resident of Essendon North in the western region of Victoria. As a child, John took part in his local parish church of Mosta’s activities relating with the re-enactment of Our Lord’s Passion This was and is still being held annually on Good Friday. Having inherited this sentimental relationship with the pageant since childhood, John is now excited to renew this endeavour. Hopefully, with renewed enthusiasm from the Maltese Community together with the close collaboration of all the ethnic community groups linked to Ta Pinu Shrine, this event will continue to grow in the years to come. Mr Jon Sant is also known to be one of the Benefactors of Ta Pinu Shrine ( Aust). In his nominal address he noted: With the support of the appointed committee members, Mr Joe Ellul and Mr Anthony Bonello and all the longstanding volunteers of the Good Friday Pageant, we need to show that by working together with the other ethnic groups, in presenting a beautiful yet respectful pageant, we are all willing and able to follow Jesus’ appeal to work together through effective communication in His Vineyard, not only for one nation but for the whole humanity, as a sign of appreciation and spiritual benefit for what He has done for our redemption.
