02.01.2022 The Feast Day of St Andrew the First- Called Apostle was celebrated with splendor at St Andrew’s Grammar Today we celebrated the Feast Day of St Andrew, the First- Called Apostle, at St Andrew’s Grammar with the celebration of the Divine Liturgy in the presence of His Grace Bishop Elpidios of Kyaneon. All students and teachers attended the service as well as the Consul of Greece, Mrs Georgia Karasiotou.... His Grace reminded the students that the Apostle Andrew is not only the Patron Saint of St Andrew’s Grammar but also the Patron Saint of our Theological College in Sydney and the Founder of the Mother Church in Constantinople. His Grace asked everyone to remember in their prayers the Ecumenical Patriarchate as well as Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and reminded all of the historical visit that His All-Holiness made to St Andrew’s Grammar in November 1996. Following His Grace’s words, students came forward and recited passages relating to the life of St Andrew, the First called Apostle.
