25.01.2022 Some good news for the relocation of the Guyra Mens Shed. Our new premises has been vacated and is ready for refurbishment. The electrical upgrade is due to start. Once all necessary upgrades have been completed we will move in.

11.01.2022 We had a great visit over the Long Weekend from the 'Squealing Pigletts' from Newcastle. It was their yearly fundraising motorcycle ride and our men's shed was chosen. A sizable donation was received and will be put to good use helping with our relocation in the new year.

07.01.2022 S.O.S. Save Our Spuds As usual there were only a handful of people who turned up to the AGM yesterday; 3 committee members, but 2 new people (so that is promis...ing). We didn't have enough to have a meeting but we had a very proactive discussion with some positive thoughts and ideas. One suggestion was that as weekend meetings obviously don't work, we should have a midweek meeting and see if that makes a difference. Henceforth the new AGM details are: Wednesday 19 November at 7.00pm at the Guyra Bowling Club. This will be the last attempt at resurrecting the spuds. If you are keen to keep the spuds alive then do something about it - share this post, talk to your friends, talk to potential players, drum up some interest, but most importantly COME TO THE AGM. We have people who are willing to help out on game days and we have the interest from players, we just need a committee to oversee the running of the club. This has to be done now as we have to let Group 19 know what is happening with the club, and we have to have our liquor licence application into the Office of Liquor Gaming and Racing in December. These are the sort of things people forget about - they think the 2015 season starts in 2015, but it starts now with all the official behind the scenes stuff. Please consider joining the committee as many hands make light work.
