25.01.2022 PRESSURE IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO BE WEIRD There is a blessing to facing a squeeze in the workplace! The pressure is an opportunity to perform; the more the challenge, the more we perform, also, the more the fear and pressure - the more we perform! Christians stand out because they are different - Its OK to be weird; by being people-orientated instead of task or me-orientated. Christians work for the real boss. They appear to be weird compared to those around them. The weirdn...ess is their strength. We are called to face pressure where the design in the pressure is to reflect Gods character, who gives us the strength to work whole-heartedly in the workplace. Christian faith and character may only become visible when being stressed. Where integrity, forgiveness and hope shines. How do I gain this strength? "It's in your works welfare that you gain your welfare." The above are some notes taken while participating in the "Under Pressure Life@Work Conference 2021". https://plus.citybibleforum.org/ #workpressure #beingweird #businesschaplain #citybibleforum

19.01.2022 Support announced for flood-affected businesses: The federal government has activated the Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment (AGDRP) and Disaster Recovery Allowance (DRA) for 34 NSW local government areas affected by storms and flooding. Under the AGDRP, a one-off, non-means-tested payment of $1,000 per eligible adult and $400 per child is available to individuals who have been adversely affected by a major disaster.... The DRA is a short-term payment to assist individuals if a declared disaster directly affects their income. Individuals can access the DRA for a maximum of 13 weeks, with Services Australia paying the DRA from the date an individual loses income as a direct result of the NSW floods.
