25.01.2022 When taking regular medication, don't assume everything that is healthy is healthy FOR YOU. Some innocent looking foods negatively interact with important life saving medications. Grapefruit is one of them. It can cause drug overdose toxicity because of some of the natural chemicals it contains. Be aware and please CHECK particularly if you are taking statins or anxiety medications. Always consult your doctor if there is a change in your health when taking prescription medicine. Remember, Haan Health are here to look after you, so never hesitate to make an appointment if you need to go over your medical regimen or ask questions. <3

Further investigations are und...erway to confirm the infection and investigate potential sources. (Before leaving for Melbourne the woman travelled from Townsville to Cairns and Brisbane.) Locations visited in Brisbane and Cairns are currently deemed very low risk. Updates will be provided as further information emerges. Anyone who has been to these locations at these dates and times should monitor their health and if they develop any COVID-19 symptoms, even mild, get tested and isolate until they receive their test result. 04.01.2022 MENTAL HEALTH issues seem to be in the news today. It is often a very underestimated health concern attached with so much unnecessary negative stigma. We'd like to extend a warm hand of concern and acceptance to any patient experiencing mental challenges. PLEASE feel you can come in and chat to us. There are options, there are treatments, there are experts and loads of self help strategies as well. Your GP is a fantastic place to start before you start to feel like there is no hope. Your brain is simply a (complicated) part of your body. Take care of it.

02.01.2022 Gratitude... For the parents about to start homeschooling their children. Because of you, our children remain educated and our spread of coronavirus safeguarded. We are grateful. For the mathematicians, statisticians, scientists, researchers, historians, politicians, psychologists and many others taking up arms in this war against COVID-19, we are grateful.... For our Australian leaders who have made tough decisions to act in the best interests of our community, we are grateful. We would not want to live anywhere else right now. For our community who by and large have heeded warnings, all the while trying to keep on going, we are grateful. For the medical staff who despite being afraid, put themselves on the line in hospitals, ambulances, pathology labs, radiology clinics and so many others, we are grateful. Thank you.

01.01.2022 Unfortunately and sadly, there are always some people trying to make money from these confusing times. We are aware of several dubious offerings doing the rounds, and would like to urge our community to practice CAUTION. Medical teleconferencing with unknown individuals... A telephone consult should only be undertaken by *licensed professionals*. Ask for their credentials, a provider number their usual workplace etc. Be careful of so called cures and ‘health professionals’ popping up online for tele-conferencing medical appointments. ONLY TRUST A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL YOU KNOW or have thoroughly vetted for credentials. There are several Naturopaths and ‘health experts’ claiming COVID-19 prevention treatments. Many appear to be profiting from offering products that claim to help prevent or fend off the virus that causes COVID-19. Please be aware that we do not have any evidence that these products help. They may, in fact, cause you harm. $20 Masks Masks have been in short supply but this is being addressed at government levels. On the Gold Coast, our community transmission of COVID-19 is low, and there is currently no need to pay ridiculous prices for potentially fake personal protective gear. Your best protection is to stay at home. People claiming they have a vaccine There is currently NO vaccine. Research is underway to develop one, but lengthy trials and testing needs to be deployed before it will come anywhere near the public. Carpark testing There is some valid carpark testing happening through accredited providers, but there are also reports of 'other' COVID-19 testing or swab testing in parking lots or external areas. Please be cautious. Wherever possible consult your existing GP first. Medical professionals must be accredited with a provider number and must only consult from their licensed premises. Stay safe.
