24.01.2022 We are happy to see that people power and educating politicians works! Dog grooming is back on September 28th!!!!!!!! Ill make the calls next week to confirm your new appointments, WOO HOO!! Thanks to everyone who signed the petition and contacted their MPs, we appreciate the support and love, and cant wait to be back. There will be further small changes to our policies to fully comply with Covid safe practices, but we can now happily say your dogs will get the care they need.

22.01.2022 I was going to edit the end of this video but cant figure out how (non tech savvy but awesome groomer lol) so please just ignore my chit chat at the end. I washed dog number one in the bath...I dont ever wash them at home (the shop is so much easier) so its a learning curve for me too. My next dog ill do in a trough and see how that goes. More vids coming (between homeschooling and toddler).... Ill also put a picture of the curry combs I was trying to describe in the video in the comments. Be kind, this is embarrassing to me but I want to help you as much as possible during this 6 weeks xox

21.01.2022 This week we will be CLOSED on Thursday 23rd July. Next Thursday the 30th well be OPEN. Thursday 6th and 13th August we will be CLOSED.... Although we continue to be very busy (thank you!!), this is to provide our staff with health and wellbeing days because of this ongoing situation find ourselves living through. Stress can get the better of anyones health and we want to continue to happily groom your doggies in top health. Thank you for understanding.

17.01.2022 Further to advice received today, we will be closed for normal business from Thursday. I will be making enquiries over the next few days to see if we will be able to provide grooming to dogs for health reasons or if their owners are unable to groom them due to age or disability. This closure is heartbreaking, NOT because we miss out on business (well be ok), but because we will absolutely miss the company of your dogs! We love them dearly and they have been such a bea...utiful form of therapy for us at Hairy Hounds during this whole scenario. We will definitely also miss your friendly faces, the chats, laughs and being a happy place for you to visit in this period of sadness and confusion for many. 15.01.2022 Please sign. We can provide grooming with NO human contact, or at the very least, excellent covid safe practices. People with disabilities, the elderly, pensioners, owners of multiple double coated breed dogs...Ive spoken with them all today, many heartbroken at the condition of their dogs and the hopelessness they feel.

If you live more than 5km from us but we are your closest groomer you should be ok to bring your dogs...perhaps just take a screenshot of this information in case. Working to get more clarification over the next few days.

12.01.2022 As we are considered an essential service, Hairy Hounds will remain open. As such, it is allowable for customers to bring their dogs to our shop to obtain grooming services. We will continue to provide excellent grooming to your beloved dogs, with all precautions still in practice.
