14.01.2022 Ever gotten stuck when one of your brand colours just isn't playing nice with your design. Something feels off and you can't pick what it is??? It might be the colour choice. I am not saying deviate from your original colour palette, you only need to tweak it a little. ... Using a variety of tones, tints and shades of your original brand colours, will help immensely in time like this. In colour theory, a "tint" is referred to as the mixture of a colour with white, which reduces it's darkness, while a "shade" is the term used when a colour is mixed with black, increasing it's darkness. A tone is what happens when you add a little grey in there. Hint: This works great, when you are using black or white text and you want to deemphasise the colour a little, if it feels like it is too bold and taking over the design.
