12.01.2022 June Vacancy rate numbers were released yesterday by SQM research and compared to June 2019's 2.5% Brisbane is still holding up remarkably well with a June vacancy rate of 2.4%. Sydney 3.8% and Melbourne 3% are both slightly down on the previous month's numbers, however up from June 2019's 3.5% and 2% respectively. Still, it's the CBD apartment markets in all cities that are feeling the most pain. A similar pattern emerged last quarter with asking rents. Sydney was down 6.5%,... Melbourne did slightly better down 4.2% while Brisbane's rise of 0.4% is continuing a nominal trend upwards.
