23.01.2022 Toxic deodorants (pretty much all that are in the supermarket!) are one of the most HARMFUL products to put on the body. Antiperspirant deodorants clog skin follicles, and inhibit natural secretion of toxins. They also release tons of harmful chemicals into our bodies through our very absorbent ducts under our armpits - it can actually be worse than eating toxins, as it doesn’t get processed in the digestive system or the liver! Also toxins could enter straight into the blood...stream via tiny cuts after shaving armpits. Some culprits in regular deodorants include: **ALUMINIUM which is responsible for clogging pores and is linked to Alzheimers, and breast and prostrate cancer (due to interference of oestrogen levels - hormone receptors under your arms). **PARABENS is a preservative and also interferes with oestrogen levels. **TRICLOSAN affects our microbiome. Research shows people who use deodorant with triclosan have less microbial density under their arms, and more of the Staphylococcaceae strain which can be dangerous if dominant. 21.01.2022 Our Pit Potpourri! Deodorant is one of our best-sellers. We've had great feedback about its effectiveness for busting stinky pits. My hubby is a big fan of our stink-be-gone paste. It took him awhile to get around the idea of rubbing the paste under his hairy underarms, but when he did, he was hooked! This is what he said: As a man with a sizeable sweat-slick swath of an underarm, I can attest that this Pit Potpourri is awesome! So, I do a lot of stuff throughout the day... and not only does this get me from shower to shower smelling great, but it also completely gets rid of and prevents chaffing and underarm rash (TMI sorry), but, you know, sore underarms is the ‘pits’ when you need to use your hands and move your arms around a lot. 11.01.2022 DIY Foaming Hand Wash Recipe This recipe is so insanely simple and quick to make, and so good for your skin. It's also super cheap once you have all the ingredients together. You'll be kicking yourself that you haven't been making this hand wash sooner! The essential oils provide enough anti-microbial action to kill off any pathogenic germs, without stripping your skin of its beneficial microbiome. This mixture is quite runny, so you will need to store it in a foaming hand ...dispenser. We sell a wide range of DIY ingredients and containers at our Happy Biome studio If you’re not local to us, we can post ingredients Australia-Wide. INGREDIENTS 1 x 250ml foaming dispenser cup castile liquid soap 175ml distilled water 10 drops lavender essential oil* DIRECTIONS 1. Add castile liquid soap and essential oils to the foaming dispenser. 2. Fill the dispenser up with distilled water (leave enough space to put the lid on - if you fill right to the top with water, all your essential oils floating on the top will spill out!). 3. Gently shake to combine. To Use: Wash your hands with one or two pumps of soap. You can also use this as a gentle face and body wash. This will last a few months.
