25.01.2022 Have you ever tried any of these energetic clearing practices? Most of these are on my list to clear spaces along with diffusing essential oils! How about these Gratitude rituals? For me, gratitude is one of the many daily practices that help me to gain a better perspective and to shift my mindset to be able to appreciate the ample richness of my life and all I have been afforded. I feel grateful and blessed every single day to do what I do, to be able to freely express my ...truth, to be healthy in body, mind and soul and to move around this world with relative freedom. 25.01.2022 If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s the ability to see what is truly important to us and where we want to continue investing our precious time and energy moving forward As we begin to move into a New Year, do we really want everything to go back to how it used to be? Maybe, we could look at our new reality as a new standard of care for ourselves and for others to uphold, instead of being caught up in a wheel of never ending stress and busyness. Have we finally realised that... we need to stop glorifying being busy? - Maybe we could check in on each other more often? - Maybe we could ask our nearest and dearest if they’re really ok? - Maybe we could offer up small acts of kindness to everyone? (not just your closest family and friends) - Maybe we could slow down? (as an act of rebellion in this fast paced consumerist society), and we could promise to nurture our souls needs and desires in order to be more in our truest alignment. 19.01.2022 Happy New Year my lovely community of yogis! I hope you had a delicious break over the Christmas holidays and are getting ready to roll out your mats for more yoga wisdom in 2021. Watch out for my "Welcome to 2021" newsletter which will drop tomorrow morning and will include some exciting changes to the timetable plus new teacher energy, some pricing adjustments and another luxurious Restorative class for January.... 18.01.2022 GREAT NEWS ANNOUNCEMENT!! Hatha Yoga Sydney will RE-OPEN on Sunday 14 June for the morning class starting at 9.30AM. I am beyond excited to announce that the NSW Government just announced an easing of restrictions for fitness and dance studios! Which I'm assuming is us given the vagueness of it all... (See post below).... In-house numbers at the studio will be capped at 10 to begin, so you will need to book in if you'd like to attend the studio in person so I can keep a count of numbers. Live steaming will continue moving forward, so you will have the opportunity to continue practicing at home if that is more convenient for you and if the in-studio class becomes full. I'll be sending out an email in the next 24-48 hours with all relevant and updated information for the re-opening of the studio. I'M SO EXCITED TO SEE YOU ALL IN THE FLESH AND BLOOD AGAIN. I'm doing a happy dance as I type!

16.01.2022 Last Saturday, some of us retreated for the day in lovely North Narrabeen in the Northern Beaches. The cloudy forecast turned into the most stunning day and we had the most idyllic setting overlooking the lovely lake and resting within a bubble of nature. We came together to mark the end of a year of massive change, to rest our bodies, minds and spirits and to look ahead into 2021 with hope in our hearts for a renewed and more aligned life for ourselves. My hope was for us al...l to have left a little lighter of load than when we arrived... spending time with an aligned community is so rejuvenating, laughing with like minded friends so healing, practicing and breathing together so rewarding and eating nutritious and delicious food so nourishing for the soul. 13.01.2022 This morning at Yoga class, I asked if anyone wanted to donate medical supplies to a local vet in Waterloo, My Vet Animal Hospital, as I was heading down there with urgent supplies they needed. These lovely folks are closing their business tomorrow and heading down south to help with the rehabilitation of Wildlife affected my these devastating fires. Thank you everyone who contributed. We rounded up $150 amongst just a few of us and I was able to purchase all the gauze pads, ...melonin dressings and conforming bandages from 2 pharmacies and take all the blankets and towels from a $2 shop. We did well! Special shout out to the Discount Drug store on Redfern Street, who donated the Melolin dressing pads and conforming bandages for free once they knew where I was taking them... Keep your hearts open everyone. This is the time we come together to perform miracles large and small. Humanity is good, gracious, kind and compassionate and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. If anyone is local to the Redfern, Alexandria or Waterloo areas, please get down to My Vet Animal Hospital on Bourke street to donate before 1PM today. They are heading down south this afternoon.

Restorative yoga provides a gradual, inward journey to a relaxed, centred and more grounded state of being. The practice creates the possibility for the body to relax from "doing" and for the mind to relax from thinking, which in these unprecedented times of worry and uncertainty is what w...e could all benefit from. 06.01.2022 Come a little closer, open your hearing sense and lean into the following... Moving from one year to another is really moving from one day to another in linear time (which is really just a concept, nothing more), so New Year's Resolutions are (for me) a little pointless. If you know what you need to change within yourself to create a profound change, don't wait around for New Year's to make a commitment, do it now! The world is in desperate need of warriors... warriors who a...re dedicated to radical honesty, warriors who can speak their truth in the face of adversity, warriors who fight with peace in their hearts, warriors with integrity, warriors of light, warriors with love and compassion in their hearts. The transformation needed within each one of us will occur when we all take full responsibility for our lives, drop the blame, the shame, the judgement and criticism and reach deep into the depths of our soul to discover what it is she is calling us to do. If you are not listening, you'll jump on someone else's bandwagon and end up mis-aligned with your souls longing, creating all kinds of rocky road misadventures along the way. We need to awaken to our unconscious behaviours, to the addictions that keep us stuck in unhealthy patterns of co-dependency, to the actions that create extreme reactions all bound and chained in unconscious cycles of ancestral blue prints. Is this not the work? To free ourselves from our limited past, from the outdated and unhealthy mind sets and programming we inherited and received from our parents, guardians and teachers, but that are not really ours to claim at all? Are we not really here to evolve? The time is ripe. "You are here to awaken to your true Nature, your soulful self and live as that true nature here in physical form. Our problem as humans, isn't that we are inadequate, wrong or broken, our problem is that we believe we are. This fundamental misconception underlies every other problem, dysfunction and pain that we have". (Dr. Sue Morter). Now is the time to begin, to begin to be more conscious, aware and awake. Now is the time to stop addictive behaviours that don't serve you and are sabotaging you from living your best life. And now is the time to make different choices, so you can learn to ultimately live with more peace, compassion and love within your heart.

04.01.2022 I have been learning and teaching yoga for 15 years now. It is not simply a practice for me, it is a lifestyle. One which I live, breathe, create and honour every single day. I feel blessed that yoga chose me. I had no idea what was about to unfold when I spontaneously quit my job working as a sound engineer in Madrid and decided to spend the summer in Granada at an Ashram learning more about Yoga. My journey has been a long, slow, winding road made up of scriptured teachings..., inner learning's, discovering who I really am without the masks and misgivings and the undoing of all my ancestral blueprints that do not serve me. I am still deep in the journey, uncovering more and more each day... going deeper, healing wounds and expanding into more of the person I am at a soul level. 04.01.2022 ... All classes are continuing to run as normal... I believe we are living in unprecedented times, so it is easy to feel overwhelmed, vulnerable and a little lost. This is of course normal and natural... we are collectively going through a challenging time. For me, this is a perfect example of just how we are all connected as a global community/family. As hard as we try sometimes to remain as individuals making our way in the world, it is moments like these that really highli...ght just how connected we all really are. We cannot "do" anything without others being affected in some way by our actions large or small and this is a great lesson to remember... So as Brene Brown mentioned in a recent post of hers (image below is also hers), we could all choose to "stay well together". We are all responsible for not only helping and supporting ourselves and our loved ones, but for helping our fellow men, women and children who may need your care, attention and non-judgement, because fear (like any emotion) is contagious. So let's spread compassion, love, open heartedness and light and let people "catch" that instead. I am choosing to breathe deeply into the unknown, and trust in my firm foundational roots by staying balanced, grounded and centred. I hope you will join me... Move gently during this period incorporating deep, gentle breathing and meditation into your day and please maintain positive social networks. Let us all expand and open rather than tense and contract. Let's remember to trust in ourselves and humanity... It's a little lonely at the studio teaching on my own and I miss you all like crazy. But here is to adaptability, change and impermanence. Three things I am constantly banging on about in class.
