25.01.2022 *Notice of Changes made to our Super Buddy Adoption Day at Crocs Playcentre* Due to unforeseen circumstances the date of the HeartKids Super Buddy Bear Adoption Day has been changed to Saturday 21st July. THIS EVENT IS NOW OPEN TO SIBLINGS... Dress up in your favourite superhero costume and come and join us for a fun SuperBoss Day fundraising event! Crocs Playcentre are holding this event exclusively for HeartKids and the team from Scentsy will be there to present Heart children with their very own Scentsy Buddy Bear. The entry fee of $10 per child aged 0-12 will be donated directly to HeartKids as well as a percentage of takings at the kiosk. 11.01.2022 Thanks to Arthritis Australia we have limited tickets for HeartKids families to attend a free Kidsflix movie event at Village Cinemas Sunshine on 21 July 2018. Kidsflix is an event for children and young people living with a chronic illness, disability or in a disadvantaged situation. The invited childs immediate family (ie siblings, parents, carers) are also part of the experience at no cost. Entertainment including face painting, games, balloon twisting and entertainment s...tarts at 9am with the screening of the Hotel Transylvania 3 movie beginning at 10am. A free popcorn and drink will be available as you enter the cinema prior to the movie commencing. The child who is the beneficiary of the invitation must be 16 years or under and be living with a chronic illness, disability or in a disadvantaged situation. Please note children must be accompanied by an adult (18+) at all times. 08.01.2022 Hi Everyone, My name is Sarah Gambin and i will be the new 2018 branch co ordinater for Heartkids in the Point Cook, Altona, Hoppers Crossing and surrounds. Let me be the first to say hello and introduce myself and give you a little background into my history with heartkids. ... I have 3 children. My heart angel Mayah who sadly passed away in 2015. Charlie who is my heart kid and my youngest daughter Everly. I first became involved with Heartkids when my daughter Mayah got diagnosed with her heart condition, cardiomyopathy at 4 months of age. Charlie got diagnosed with cardiomyopathy at 3 months of age (currently 2 years old and doing wonderfully) and myself who was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, 37 weeks pregnant with Charlie at 27 years of age! I have met some beautiful and inspiring families throughout my journey. I look forward to meeting and getting to know more families along the way. I will be in touch shortly with dates and times to see if they are suitable for a catch up! And any suggestions you have for venues and times would be greatly appreciated.
