25.01.2022 Today is our day to remember those blue brothers and sisters who have made the ultimate sacrifice. Some we knew, some we didn't, irrespective of that it's that thin blue thread that binds us all. Occasionally it bends, some times it frays, but this colour doesn't run, and this line never breaks. Blue HOPE stands ready.
23.01.2022 Dinner in Townsville done and dusted! We reckon we rolled out 50 odd Peri Peri chicken wraps thanks to chef supremo's Dave and Toot! Was great to catch up with the Townsville and Mundingburra crews. Solid engagement with the troops in the field is the basis of all we do. Was awesome to take five and listen to some of their stories... To all on quick shifts or starting early, we'll be back in the same spot tomorrow for breaky at 8am with the coffee machine cranked! Blue HOPE stands ready.
21.01.2022 The 2021 Owen Timothy Harms Memorial Cup has been played at 1770 with the '84 Cadets' taking the chocolates! For the last couple of years, we've had a variant of this game at the Brisbane Bronco's Centre of Excellence, however COVID and the existence of the NRL bubble prevented the 2020 event. With any luck, we will get it back on track this year. It's absolutely tremendous to see the tradition continue, come rain hail or shine, with the post game focus being on very simpl...y, looking out for your mates. Owie, you are loved and missed by all each and every day. Blue HOPE stands ready!
20.01.2022 Dinner at Miriam Vale, attendance by the locals as well as Tannum Sands and Agnes Waters - plenty of family in tow! What a great bunch of people! 'Chuck' looked resplendent in his new blue neon suit don't you think? 1 down - 26 to go! Blue HOPE stands ready.
20.01.2022 Four years ago today Dale...
20.01.2022 Good Morning Blackwater! Troops fed and watered. Many thanks to OIC Matt Dux for his hospitality... It was great to see the partners and kids roll up for a coffee and bacon and egg roll. A great crew! Top shelf country Policing! Blue HOPE stands ready.
19.01.2022 Hard to say easy to do. BH is departing on 1 October on an anti clockwise lap of the state - if you have some Police friends or family along the route, and you'd like to buy them a cup of coffee, let us know, drop some coin in our account and we'll take care of the rest - simples! Blue HOPE stands ready.
18.01.2022 Breakfast on the water in Townsville - there are significantly worse places to be we can assure you! The bacon and egg rolls and barista (to use the term loosely!) made coffee were very well received. Our thanks to Inspector Joe Kitching for the incredibly kind use of the Academy facilities whilst in town... hot showers should never be taken for granted when you're swagging. Thanks to all those who attended and kindly donated some coin - it all helps to pay for fuel and the ...meals we put on. Thanks to the Townsville Blue Family - we will absolutely be back! Now in Lucinda prepping to board the barge to Palm Island nice and early tomorrow. Blue HOPE stands ready.
18.01.2022 Happy New Year! We would like to thank all of our participants, volunteers, partners and sponsors for their support during a very challenging 2020. In 2021, with your help, Blue HOPE will continue build on our services to better enable current and former police officers and their families to thrive.... Blue HOPE stands ready.
16.01.2022 Another snapshot of what its like to protect and serve in 2020. And yet for the most part, we continue to turn up with smiles on our faces... AND full canisters of OC spray... Many thanks to BH 'feature' writer Brad Rix for the heads up. Don't forget you can 'shoutacopacuppacoffee' whilst we are on the road in October at donate.mycause.com.au/charity/19429 Blue HOPE stands ready.
16.01.2022 A bittersweet moment this morning with the final stop of the 'Shoutacoppacuppacoffee Tour 2020' at Gold Coast District Office on Ferny Ave. Bittersweet in that its great to to be on the way home but we have had a real blast over the last month, catching up some of the guys and gals that operate in the more remote communities. Our great thanks to AC Brian Wilkins and D/O C/Supt Mark Wheeler for allowing us to partially block access to the building for a few hours this morning.... We had a tremendous roll up by the troops in general availing themselves of a breaky wrap and a hot coffee. Many thanks to A/Insp Brad Rix for facilitating our visit. It was humbling to see how many of the staff had followed our journey, with many rushing down to meet 'Chuck' in person. Once the (bull) dust settles and we wear out a couple of gurney's, we will get back to you with some final facts and figures. Blue HOPE stands ready.
16.01.2022 Lunch in Moura followed by Arvo Tea in Woorabinda. Was great to catch up with a small part of the Austin Clan whose remarkable fundraising efforts contributed heavily to the purchase of our 'Chuck Wagon.' Sincere thanks to Chilesy at Moura and the entire Woorabinda crew for your hospitality... even found some time for a quick pushy repair at Woorie! Blue HOPE stands ready.
16.01.2022 Ladies and Gents, The Blue HOPE team of volunteers is hitting the road on 1 October for our 'Shoutacopacuppacoffee Tour 2020' doing an anti-clockwise lap of the State with our Mount Gravatt Mazda BT50 and 'Chuckwagon', strictly adhering to any and all COVID restrictions of course! We cant be everywhere but wherever we stop, we'll be doing coffee and meals for our hard working brothers and sisters wherever we can!... We invite anyone that wants to 'Shoutacopacuppacoffee' (hard to say, easy to do) to drop us a PM, donate some coin and nominate a station, or individual or group, and we will take care of the rest! We'll also post a video the day we do it so you can have a virtual brew with whomever you like! No instant here, strictly barista made life juice, straight out of the Chuckwagon! Remember 'Shoutacopacuppacoffee' - hard to say, easy to do!!! https://donate.mycause.com.au/charity/19429 Blue HOPE stands ready.
15.01.2022 Breakfast in Cunnamulla. Plenty of family (before school action) involved as well which was awesome! Check out the photo of the red dust we dropped out front of the station when we pulled in last night... 'It would do a road train proud' (said 'Chuck'). Many thanks to OIC A/S/Sgt David Harper for having us. Cunnamulla is a great little town, not (that) far from the coast (really) and the TBL out here are a tight group... absolutely tremendous to see - keep up the great wo...rk! Jump in the car and come out and see 'The Cunnamulla Fella'. Blue HOPE stands ready.
15.01.2022 Started the day with Chuck rolling out coffees for the St George crew with Melbournite and local coffee affecionado Corey's back to back latte's suggesting that our 'life juice' wasn't too bad, before we hit the road for Mungindi. Fun Fact: Mungindi is the only town in the southern hemisphere that is split between two states, QLD and Mexico! After a quick stop at the Nindigully Pub (just to be friendly!), Queensland's oldest pub I might add, with the liquor license issued in... 1864 and an old Cobb and Co station, we made it to the operating border VCP outside Mungindi Police Station. OIC S/C Curtis Jope (champion!) allowed us to park in the station grounds where the BH resident chefs Toot and Dave whipped up some of our 'world' renowned chicken wraps (coincidentally, the last ones on this trip ). We acquainted ourselves with the VCP staff on day shift, with both S/C Brandon Braybook and Const. Alex Underhill a fair way from home, hailing from the Moreton District, before delivering several culinary delights for the lads, fresh from the hot grill of Chuck. It was tremendous to meet S/C Wayne Sartour as well who found some time to drive down from Thallon for lunch with us. Word got out as to our presence which encouraged two Mexican Federale's to sneak across the border for a wrap or two! In all sincerity, it was tremendous to meet Steve and Kelly (absolutely superb people!!!), two NSWPF colleagues from Mungindi NSW, who work hand in hand with Curtis regularly. It really hit home that we despite our different shoulder patches, the reality is that we are all bound by that common thin blue thread, a blue thread that doesn't run and refuses to break, even across borders. We are getting close to home. Blue HOPE stands ready.
14.01.2022 Bit of Pink Floyd at BH HQ prior to kick off...
14.01.2022 So it turns out that the Goodie's won our favourite game, played in a foreign country (no less) tonight! That being said, BH HQ was tremendous! If you didn't already know, the Blue HOPE Social Club space is YOUR space, built BY Cops FOR Cops, less than 15 minutes from the City! If you want a safe space for a function, drop us a line... We are more than happy to oblige! Blue HOPE stands ready!
13.01.2022 Ladies and Gents, It's World Suicide Prevention Week. It's incumbent on all members of the blue family to look after one another. Sometimes even the smallest things can make all the difference either to us or for someone else. We'll be posting a very simple goal each day. If you are struggling with things, don't forget, Blue HOPE stands ready.
13.01.2022 Got back closer to the coast today - just outside Warwick the heavens opened up. See you tomorrow morning for breakfast Surfers Paradise - last stop on the ‘Shoutacoppacuppacoffee Tour 2020’ - we’ll be at District Office from 8am. Blue HOPE stands ready.
12.01.2022 Team - if you don't already have plans on Wednesday night, come check out Origin 1 at Blue HOPE HQ. We'll open up from 1600h with some special guests playing 'live' music from 5pm. Oh, and our new Firefly Lighting system is super impressive thanks to Heath Williamson - you can check it out as well!
12.01.2022 2020 has clearly demonstrated that as our individual journey's unfold we are met with all sorts of challenges. Some big, some small. As these problems present themselves, don't wallow in confusion causing unnecessary pain. Don't waste time trying to make sense of situations based on hearsay and near truths. In dealing with these problems, it makes perfect sense to make absolutely every effort to seek as much clarity as possible. ... Arm yourself with each and every fact available by whatever means necessary. Only then can we make informed decisions which will ultimately bring ourselves back onto the path, allowing us to continue moving forward. Once you stop swimming, eventually you go under... Blue HOPE stands ready.
11.01.2022 Team - we are set up in Soroptimist Park (Townsville) just north of the Academy... Peri Peri Chicken wraps from 6pm! Blue HOPE stands ready.
11.01.2022 And down it came... the cure for bull dust everywhere!
11.01.2022 Overnight in Charters Towers before early coffee and bacon and egg wraps for the workers. Not a bad sort of sunset just before the footy either! Chuck fought us most of the way from Blackwater but the Mount Gravatt Mazda BT50 put him in his place - with fuel economy planned to perfection... sort of! Townsville here we come! Blue HOPE stands ready.
10.01.2022 Many thanks to legend Neil Doorley and our great friends at We Create Content for helping us out with this latest round of media and helping us spread the word... to everyone, everywhere... look after your mates... simple. Blue HOPE stands ready. https://twitter.com/9newsqueens/status/1327529638449516544
10.01.2022 Dinner in St George: The drive from Cunnamulla to St George today was like a magic carpet ride compared to yesterdays efforts! We stopped in at Bollon on the way and caught up with Sgt Darren Coetzer and S/C Lisa Voysey. Both Darren and Lisa look after a division the size of Israel (without the rocket strikes!) - legends! Upon arriving at St George, the first observation is that the Balonne River is absolutely magnificent. Running through town, it was reportedly nothing bu...t a trickle a short time ago but is currently really something to see. Secondly, dinner at St George was fantastic! What a tremendous group of people. There were a couple of tense moments when the heavens opened accompanied by lighting, thunder and hail on an epic scale, save to say that the weather calmed allowing for dinner for the troops to continue (it was a great way to clean some bull dust!!!). Hosted by OIC S/Sgt Dan Gallagher, it was great to catch up with the majority of the St George TBL. This is a fine little town with a fantastic Police Social Club... so good that 'Chuck' allowed himself to be (fittingly) branded (of sorts!). Thank you sincerely St George station. PS: The fence pictured - it must have taken the longest stringline on earth to construct that... Blue HOPE stands ready.
09.01.2022 Good morning Indro! A great turn out for breaky and a yarn this morning, many thanks to Inspector Shane Hancock and Acting OIC Shannon Renouf for hosting us... it’s great to see the troopers taking 5 and enjoying a coffee and a breaky wrap (thanks KC!)... if you would like a visit from ‘Chuck’, send us a message and we’ll/he’ll be happy to oblige! Blue HOPE stands ready.
09.01.2022 'Chuck' is putting breakfast on at Indooroopilly Station tomorrow (Tuesday) morning from 0600. Come by for a coffee and one of his world famous breakfast burrito's! Throw a donation in the bucket and you're sorted! Blue HOPE stands ready.

06.01.2022 5 years ago today Russ. You are missed every day mate...
06.01.2022 A bit of last minute press at BH HQ prior to stepping off on the 'Shoutacoppacuppacoffee' Tour 2020. Talk about a tale of two cities... on one hand you have the amazing and beautiful BH Board Member Michelle Schlitter wowing the journo's with her incredible story and the other, a bloke with a definite head for radio who struggles to string a sentence together... talk about ying and yang! https://donate.mycause.com.au/charity/19429 Blue HOPE stands ready.

05.01.2022 Team, On the back of Origin III tonight we are extremely fortunate to be in possession of a 1991 replica Origin Jersey and retro Origin shorts, personally signed and similar to that worn by none other than the sixth Immortal himself during the 1991 series, Wally Lewis. With incredible thanks for the assistance from Neil Doorley from We Create Content, Wally was extremely kind enough to sign this for us yesterday, to be used as a fundraiser.... These are definitely 'straight to the pool room' items so if you are interested, please PM us an offer or bid. Blue HOPE stands ready.

01.01.2022 This week we were honoured to host the Hon Peter Dutton, Minister for Home Affairs for a tour of our Blue Hope facility in Brisbane. It was gratifying to receive acknowledgement and encouragement from the Minister (a former QLD police officer himself) who offered praise for our work with current and former police officers from all around Australia. Thank you Peter Dutton for spending time with us. We are very grateful for your support.
01.01.2022 Today is World Suicide Prevention Day. Please ask yourself: 'what is it I can do to lighten someone else's load?' You may never ever be recognised for making the effort but that one person who walks a bit more upright thanks to your kindness... they'll know.... Blue HOPE stands ready.
