18.01.2022 "The precast hemp blocks were developed by the husband-and-wife design team at Western, Pa.-based Coexist Build. Co-founders Drew Oberholtzer and Anastasiya Ko...nopitskaya received a $75,000 grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture to design the construction blocks, which are the same size as CMU concrete blocks, although much lighter in weight. As with regular masonry, blocks are attached to structure frames with brick ties like a traditional facade system, Konopitskaya said. The blocks are manufactured with hemp grown in Pennsylvania and lime sourced locally in an economic model inspired by the restaurant farm-to-table movement. The company seeks to create a completely in-state supply chain for the hemp industry and distribution line, Konopitskaya said." 16.01.2022 This clip is ABSOLUTELY Fascinating, showing us clear examples of #cannabis has been used as medicine for thousands of years, including the first ever documente...d epilepsy case where cannabis was used to treat the condition. It will blow your mind for sure. Explained by Dr. Raphael Mechoulam Source: https://youtu.be/KKLqGwnw29Y

15.01.2022 Is this some kind of joke? On one hand they want to give us more police to police the youth yet they also want to open a giant corporate palace of piss to exploit communities and increase their problems. All the while making sure no-one has access to the healing herb.

13.01.2022 Labor, the Greens, academics and various human rights and legal groups have condemned it as an unproven and racist policy that disproportionately impacts Indigenous Australians.

10.01.2022 Northern Territory, Australia - A 28-year-old woman has walked free from Darwin Local Court after pleading guilty to a drug possession charge while serving as a Northern Territory Police officer. Facts tendered in court showed police had searched Kettle's property and seized "0.49 grams of Cannabis plant material contained in a half-smoked joint and further loose plant material located in a cabinet within the lounge room area". The court heard Kettle had been a police officer... for seven years, serving in Tennant Creek, Gove and Palmerston, before she resigned the day after her arrest last month. Her lawyer, Ray Murphy, said Kettle was now unemployed. "She's lost her employment as a result of her offending, albeit as a result of her decision to resign from the police force" Mr Murphy said. "That decision was based upon my client's deep shame and embarrassment at the way she's conducted herself, and the effect that her conduct has had on the reputation of the Northern Territory Police Force. She apologises particularly to those officers who have had to investigate one of their own". The court heard the former senior constable had spent 13 hours in custody following her arrest. In handing down his decision, Judge Greg MacDonald agreed that given the minimal amount of 'marijuana' involved, an "infringement notice could've been pursued" as opposed to charges. "No doubt police acted in the way they did for good reason, reason being the reputation of the NT Police Force needs to be preserved and protected in the eyes of the public" Judge MacDonald said. "Brittany Kettle has paid a significant price, and I accept that this has caused her great shame". She was not given a conviction for the offence. Kettle's charge and arrest came on the same day as another police officer was charged with drugs and firearms offences. The other officer has been suspended without pay, and his case remains before the Courts. The Northern Territory is the only jurisdiction in Australia where local police officers are not required to submit to regular drug testing. See more

08.01.2022 The problem is injustice. No number of police can ever make a bad law work. They can only traumatize the community. End the monstrous injustice of prohibition!

04.01.2022 Australia - Congratulations to Lance Lawrence on his valiant effort in the recent Northern Territory election. Lance put in the hard yards and raised awareness and support throughout Arnhem for the benefits of legalising Cannabis, however, the newly elected government will likely continue to ignore the call ... but great work to a man dedicated to the cause. He featured in a recent article from the Katherine Times (y). "A knockabout bloke from Arnhem Land has teamed up with o...ne of Australia's most loved songbirds. Lance Lawrence is coming off another failed parliamentary tilt, scoring last on the ballot for Arnhem at the recent NT elections. The sometimes 'marijuana' party candidate and a self professed bush larrikin, Lawrence has penned a tune in his spare time with Judith Durham. Yes THAT Judith Durham, of The Seekers' fame. Ms Durham AO joined bush poet Lawrence in his autobiographical epic poem "All In A Day's Work". It has been adapted to music by Ms Durham in a 10 minute "cinematic sonic ride combining rich orchestration with a galloping boogie-woogie feel". Lance Lawrence is a regular at election time, but missed out again this time. Back in 1966 the then two young Aussies were introduced to each other by Dora Levakis whose portrait of Lance was displayed at a famous art exhibition in 2009. Ms Durham has never forgotten the hair-raising yarn he told of how he risked being killed mustering scrub-cattle. Adding further to his long string of accomplishments, in 1992 Lance became a published poet with his anthology "Lash Laroo Rode In", and now as a spoken word recording artist in his duet with Judith" ... 04.01.2022 Northern Territory, Australia - Police estimate a single bottle of rum retailing for just over $50 can sell for $500 in a remote Aboriginal community, they also believe drug dealers make big profits if they can avoid being busted. Police yesterday afternoon arrested a man and a woman for allegedly trying to smuggle two bags of cannabis into a remote West Arnhem community. Although the weight of the drugs has not been provided, police estimate the cannabis could have sold for ...$100,000. Police executed a search warrant on a vehicle belonging to the 41-year-old man at Nhulunbuy. The search allegedly located a commercial amount of cannabis along with methamphetamine and drug implements. The drugs and vehicle were seized. The man, and a 34-year-old woman, have been charged with: -possess commercial quantity of schedule 2 drug -supply commercial quantity of schedule 2 drug -possess less than traffickable quantity of schedule 1 dangerous drug. "This was some fantastic work by Nhulunbuy police members who have stopped the distribution of these drugs into a vulnerable community," Sen.-Sgt Michael Milde said. "The seizure was extremely large and police estimate the cannabis would have sold for $100,000 in the community. "The flow of dangerous drugs into these communities have significant impacts on the health and finances of community members and we will continue to target this offending to keep our communities safe".
