21.01.2022 What are you aspiring to? I have a HUGE amount of aspirations one of which is to own a holiday house on the Sunshine Coast. I personally love a good list of aspirations but sometimes people get stuck when that list gets too long or feels to unattainable.... It all comes down to personality type - some people want to feel that stretch and others find the stretch intimidating. Either way once you know what makes you tick, you can work with that. The fact that we are all different shows the importance of a tailored approach when it comes to coaching. 10.01.2022 If you get a cold sweat at the thought of presenting on stage to hundreds of people or even one person, don’t fret. My number one tip is to focus on making the presentation style work for you. The best way to do this is to play to your strengths (no surprises there).... Ensure that the presentation allows you to use your communication strengths. This way you will feel more at ease and more confident. Some great communication strengths are: Narrator - you love telling stories Explainer - you love explaining concepts to people Humour - you love making people laugh What communication strengths do you have? 09.01.2022 What does it mean to lead? To me, being a leader isn’t defined by how many people fall under your headcount. It is more an outlook on life, an approach to the people around you, how you manage your own journey, how you take the metaphorical bull by the horns. This means that leadership can take many different forms whether you are leading yourself on your career journey, your family through life or your team through change. You are a leader.... When I decided to be a leadership coach, I didn’t want to be reserved only for the managing directors and above. I want to coach the new leaders and the leaders who are in the middle of their career journey. They all know they want great things and are looking for support to help them through setbacks and challenges, to hold them accountable and push them to achieve that promotion, that breakthrough performance, that career goal. So if you don’t currently consider yourself a leader, I’d like you to reconsider.
