19.01.2022 Something to ponder... Do you put maintaining your good health as a priority in your life, or only address your mind & body when you experience illness?

17.01.2022 This is a gorgeous gift painted by my sister a few years ago that now hangs in my clinic. It reminds me every day to listen to the symbolic message of the butterfly and be fearless in letting go of my old self and habits and to embrace the beauty and freedom that comes with change. The Butterfly represents transformation and is a recognised symbol of death and rebirth: the death and shedding of the old form and rebirth as a beautiful creature of colour and light. They fly through the sky as if they are dancing, reminding us to be light and joyful in our lives.

16.01.2022 Just had an awesome weekend with the kinesiology crew learning from Dr Charles Krebs - 'Accessing the Human Blueprint'.

16.01.2022 Food for thought...

12.01.2022 Do you find yourself feeling anxious on a regular basis? Perhaps you’ve noticed you hold your breath when you’re stressed? Try one of these three breathing techniques to reduce your stress and also to help you fall asleep. "Practicing regular, mindful breathing can be calming and energizing and can even help with stress-related health problems ranging from panic attacks to digestive disorders." Andrew Weil, M.D.... http://www.drweil.com//ART0/three-breathing-exercises.html

10.01.2022 I’m really looking forward to this weekend as I’ll be learning more about our amazing brain - specifically, about glial cells that surround and assist neurons (brain cells) and how to reduce stress held in these structures using kinesiology protocols.

09.01.2022 Are you prepared to eat a ‘crapsule’ to improve your gut health? There’s an increasing body of research exploring how the presence of ‘good’ and ‘bad’ gut bacteria affects our well-being, and this easy-to-read article briefly introduces results from a number of studies that repopulated healthy bacteria in diseased intestinal tracts. Across the studies, persons with depression, anxiety, autism, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, obesity, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s dis...ease and irritable bowel syndrome found significant improvements to their main symptoms after having faecal enemas and/or swallowing faecal capsules containing good bacteria. Extract: In 2013 the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine published a study of faecal microbiota transplant (FMT) in a nasty type of gut inflammation caused by the bug Clostridium difficile (C. difficile), a disease that kills up to one in 10 of its victims. The study was stopped early for a very unusual reason: FMT was so effective it was ruled unethical to withhold it from other participants in the study. http://www.watoday.com.au//creating-crapsules-is-faeces-in

09.01.2022 Do you or someone you know have shoulder pain? Would you like to try kinesiology to relieve the pain and discomfort? Monika and Leeanne are looking for males and females over 18 years of age who are willing to participate in research and receive kinesiology treatments to relieve their shoulder pain and discomfort. Participants will receive FREE kinesiology treatments lasting 1 hour 15 minutes on a weekly or fortnightly schedule during April, May and June 2016 in clinics in Ba...ssendean and Connolly. Participants will receive between 4 to 8 kinesiology treatments, with the number of sessions required based on each individual’s healing progress. To accurately test the effectiveness of the kinesiology treatments, participants will need to agree to not receive any other treatments for the shoulder pain during the research period (eg chiropractic, massage, physiotherapy, osteopathy, acupuncture). If you are regularly taking medication, or have had shoulder or back surgery, please discuss your specific circumstances with Monika or Leeanne. If this sounds like it could be a perfect fit for you, please call Monika (Bassendean 0412 266 462) or Leeanne (Connolly 0431 370 071) before this Sunday 10 April 2016. All enquiries will be treated confidentially, and research participant’s private information will remain confidential. 06.01.2022 Do you find it hard to stay focused on the task at hand? This has some interesting information and tips on how you can reduce your distractions and stop being a 'mental couch potato'.

05.01.2022 I think this is an interesting take on karma - do you find yourself aligned with the fear-based or love-based view?

04.01.2022 A different view is emerging on why we procrastinate. Conventional wisdom has long suggested that procrastination is all about poor time management and willpower. But more recently, psychologists have been discovering that it may have more to do with how our brains and emotions work. Procrastination, they've realized, appears to be a coping mechanism. When people procrastinate, they're avoiding emotionally unpleasant tasks and instead doing something that provides a temporary mood boost. The procrastination itself then causes shame and guilt which in turn leads people to procrastinate even further, creating a vicious cycle.

04.01.2022 I'm really looking forward to this weekend as I'll be adding more techniques to my kinesiology toolkit. The focus will be on addressing physical issues & I can't wait to bring this new information to my clinic. I love being in a learning environment with like-minded people; we kinesiologists are all so passionate about facilitating change for the better in our and our clients' lives!

02.01.2022 I really enjoyed reading this article - it explains the difference between SELF-RESPONSIBILITY and victim mentality, and WHY it's important to take responsibility for your actions, words, thoughts and emotions. Plus, and perhaps most usefully, there are some ideas on what you can do at home to identify and release emotions that may be triggering unwanted behaviour (e.g. trips to the fridge, exploding with rage). Although not mentioned in the article, kinesiology is another ...tool you can use to identify and gently release suppressed emotions. A kinesiologist can help you gently work through the emotions and thoughts that are holding you back from taking charge of your self and achieving your goals in life. Take charge of your life and call Monika today to book your kinesiology appointment (0412 266 462). http://theheartysoul.com/negative-emotions-illness/
