24.01.2022 Members and players of the Hillview Eastwood Rugby Club would like to wish our Club President Michael Larkin good luck as he goes into surgery this Friday for a major knee reconstruction after a trail bike injury last Sunday. Our support, thoughts and prayers are with you! May you have a speedy recovery and be back on the sidelines shortly.

22.01.2022 This Sunday will see one of our past Hillview players and coach of the under 13s Hillview A Grade team -Jackson Bird play in the 2nd grade Eastwood Rugby semi final at TG Milner field. Kick off will be at 1.30pm. Come along and cheer on Jackson and support the 3rd, 2nd and 1st grade Eastwood teams.

15.01.2022 Dear All, It is with great sadness that I write to tell you of the passing away of Maurie Ellem on Sunday. Maurie passed away after a private battle with cancer. As many of you know Maurie was a former President and Life Member of Hillview Rugby and a great supporter and contributor to rugby in the Eastwood District. Maurie was instrumental in driving the success of the club during his time as President and continued that support to the present day. Mauries children and... grandchildren followed Mauries support of the club playing rugby and coaching and managing Hillview teams for many years. Mauries son Damien (who many of you will know) was able to share a wonderful moment from the weekend that his father had watched the Wallabies beat the All Blacks on Saturday evening and that the victory had brought a smile to his face and an excited shake of his fist at the end of the game. It is no coincidence that the award for Club Person of the year is named the Maurie Ellem Award reflecting Mauries values about the importance of contributing back to the community whether it was Hillview, Eastwood Juniors or Eastwood District. The funeral for Maurie will be held at St Kevins at 11am this Friday 14 August and if you are able to attend it would be entirely appropriate to recognise Mauries contribution to the community in Eastwood or Hillview colours. 10.01.2022 CALLING ALL RUGBY SUPPORTERS!! Both Epping and Hillview are in the U11 grand finals this Sunday 6th September. Epping are playing KWP at 11am. ... Hillview are playing Harbord at 12noon Both games are at Cliff Oval, Wahroonga. Hope to see many Hillview and Epping supporters there to cheer on the boys after such a successful season!! GOODLUCK U11'S!! We are all cheering for you!!

05.01.2022 Message from Danielle Larkin on Michael's behalf: Michael is home from hospital and on the long road to recovering from his surgery. He would like to say a big thank you for all your best wishes and thoughts. A special thanks to his under 9 teams for the goody bag and card it made his day!! Good Luck this weekend to all our teams and he hopes to be back on the sidelines later in the season.
