25.01.2022 Kind of makes as much sense as the other conspiracy theories I'll going to keep practising my social distancing just in case forever.

25.01.2022 Good morning.... Last year my son Harper died suddenly along side his dad when the car they were travelling in was struck by a falling tree. By just 10 years ...old, Harper had already lived a life full of passion, energy and dedication to the environment. At age 7 he organised for Sea Shepherd Australia to come to his school; at age 8 he joined a local conservation group and became a Platypus Education Group Ambassador, and at age 10 he went on the School Strike 4 Climate March. In his short time with us, Harper helped: Clean up over 2000 items of litter Plant over 1000 trees Build and sell nest boxes for native wildlife Advocate for the successful ban of Opera House Nets in Victoria, which has saved countless platypuses And so much more... You can help to carry on Harper's Legacy by joining Harper's Army, his family, friends, Cockatoo Primary, Sea Shepard Australia and Portugal, Platypus Education Group, https://www.instagram.com/thetrashtraveler and https://www.instagram.com/1piecearmy, as well as so many others around the world in a drive to collect 1 million pieces of environmental litter by what would have been Harper's 12th birthday on September 24th. How to participate: Collect some litter - even the smallest amount helps Take a photo or video sharing a message of hope or birthday wish Share on Facebook - share to the Harper's Army page, hashtagging #Hitting1Million4Harper OR - Share on Instagram tagging @1piecearmy with the hashtag #Hitting1Million4Harper Tell us how many pieces you collected and we will track them all towards hitting this 1 Million Milestone on his 12th birthday. 10.01.2022 The highest honor of friendship isn't getting invited to "that party" or out on a girls weekend. It's not clinking champagne glasses at fancy brunches or wearin...g matching shirts on a beach in Florida. That all is nice and fun and good and special, but it's not what it's about, not at all. The real honor of friendship is being invited into someone's REAL. It's getting an invitation into the nitty gritty, the not-so-pretty, the hard stuff, the vulnerable stuff, the weird stuff, the unpolished stuff. It's being welcomed into a home where the sink is full of dishes and the laundry is covering the couch. It's entering the places of heart ache and pain. It's being invited to the hospital room when your friend is still in her mesh underwear from birth. It's sitting crosslegged in old sweats on the floor and laughing till you cry. It's carrying around secrets that you've been trusted to keep. It's listening and hearing. It's holding space for each other. It's answering phone calls just to talk something through. The highest honor of friendship isn't found in beautifully planned events or brightly filtered photos. The highest honor of friendship is messy and dingy and real. It's in unfiltered photos of laughing so hard your double chin is showing. It's loving each other's babies and holding each other while you ugly cry. I can't stress this enough: If you've been invited into even one person's real, you are blessed. Cherish it. Follow @sisteriamwithyou. for more. Written by Wonderoak by Jess Johnston

06.01.2022 "Don't be ashamed to cry, Let me see you through, 'cause I've seen the dark side too." Today is #RUOKDay, and what better day to launch Scrub Choir 2.0, with... over 400 RMH Staff members singing "I'll stand by you" by The Pretenders. Led by Music Therapy Director Dr Emma O'Brien OAM, the Scrub Choir has been an opportunity for staff at the RMH to take a moment out of their busy day, or after a shift on the COVID-19 wards to unwind and reflect. Many people who participated found it a therapeutic experience. Some highlights of this latest instalment include some of our RMH Doctors in a string quartet, Nurse Kathy who leads the song in AUSLAN, and many of our interpreters and nurses sharing their native language. We hope you enjoy our gift to you today. And please, look after yourself. Help and support is available. Please call Lifeline on 13 11 14 for immediate assistance. In an emergency call 000.

05.01.2022 Honestly, its so hilarious and may just work - as much as anything else can Safe stay everyone and do practice social distancing at least far enough so no-one except a newborn can pee on you. (Thank you to my friend Linda also a very accomplished artist Pinkoala and artist who brings awareness to #breastcancer through her art .)

05.01.2022 Can we meet for coffee?

04.01.2022 I’m raising average kids. They will not be going pro in any sport. They will not be the valedictorian. They will not be landing on the moon. And they will not b...e President. But I pray that they will be extraordinary at love. They will be the friend who makes homemade soup and delivers it when a family loses a loved one. They will always return their grocery carts. They will mow their neighbor’s lawn or shovel their snow-filled driveway just because. They will know how to listenespecially to those who need it most. They will make time to return phone calls. They will still send cards on birthdays. They will know how to forgive. They will be empathy givers. They will know how to say, I’m sorry. They will know how to act vulnerable and cry in someone else’s arms. Oh, and this one’s importantthey’ll know how to love themselves by giving themselves grace, love, time off, and setting boundaries. Yup. I’m raising average kids. Average kids who will be extraordinary at LOVE.
