24.01.2022 A few things to note as this crazy, hectic week draws to a close: 1. As we provide an essential service to the community, we will be OPEN for the foreseeable future. There may come a time where we close our front doors, however we will still be able to take phone calls and serve you from the footpath if need be. 2. We have initiated SOCIAL DISTANCING measures in store to ensure our customers health and safety and we thank you for respecting this decision. ... 3. We are encouraging everyone to leave their PRESCRIPTIONS ON FILE with us and phone in orders as needed, and we are offering FREE DELIVERY to the lower Herbert area to assist with self-isolation. 4. Government officials are urging all Australians to STAY HOME where possible. If you do not need to go out for any reason other than work, school, groceries, medications etc., please stay home and finish all those jobs you have wanted to finish but never had the time for. By the end of this crisis, we should all have spotless houses and weed-free gardens! 5. Take care of your MENTAL HEALTH, as well as your physical health. Call that friend you haven't heard from in ages, let a YouTube video teach you yoga, attempt a puzzle with your kids or build a veggie garden; the possibilities are endless! Its a necessity especially if y...oure travelling to an unfamiliar location. The recommendation is now as f...ollows: If you have traveled overseas to any destination in the last 14 days and have any symptom then you should self isolate. You should either contact the GP clinic or hospital for advice. You should not attend the GP clinic. If you are unwell then you should attend the Emergency Department of the hospital after contacting them to let them know you will be attending.

We have just received our second batch of puddings and mini cakes, and our allocation of large cakes should be arriving by the end of the week. ... Large cakes and puddings are $13, mini cakes are just $2, perfect for that mid-morning snack!

Aside from accepting faxed scripts direct from your Doctor and providing a script drop-off service, they're also making free deliveries all over the Lower Herbert including Cordelia, Taylors Beach and Lucinda. As the COVID-19 outbreak has now been declared a pandemic, it is important that everyone is aware of how to protect themselves against the virus. The Australian Government Department of Health is continually updating their website as new information about the virus comes to light, and the World Health Organization (WHO) provides a wealth of info...rmation as well. For anyone with current or future travel plans, check out smartraveller.gov.au for advice. And locally, your GP surgeries and pharmacies are only a phone call away if needed. Most importantly, do not panic! Currently in store, we have plenty of tissues and soap, limited supplies of toilet paper, but no hand sanitiser. However, we do have plenty of prescription medications, and back-orders of masks and other supplies are slowly trickling through. We urge you to think before panic-buying, and consider the source of information before you take it as fact. Feel free to contact us if you have any further questions!
