22.01.2022 Grades 9 & 10 students at Hinterland have been researching and designing a landscape project in Design & Technology. This week, all the research, discussion and design has brought them to the physical building element. We’re so proud of these young people. Can’t wait to see it finished!

18.01.2022 This week our Stage 5 Textiles students were visited by their Distance Ed teacher, Louise Kearney, from Southern Cross Distance Ed. We are loving our connection, as our students elect a course where their interests lie (over 20 elective choices). This week Louise ran a full day Textiles workshop with the students. Different sewing techniques, appliqué, embroidery and the making of pillow cases were part of the day. Love learning at Hinterland!

14.01.2022 Everyone’s getting into the Zoom meeting craze at Hinterland! Hinterland Principal’s Office mascot, Scott the Elephant, sits in on lunch break Zoom meeting with Stage 5 as a daily part of our Remote Learning Program.

14.01.2022 Remote Learning - fun in a box! For those Hinterland students stepping into Remote Learning we have boxed up their treasures (books, pencil cases, paints, brushes, etc.) and prepared the way for something different. Looking forward to seeing the amazing learning to come out of your brain and your box.

13.01.2022 So proud of ‘Gracie-Dotty’! Our first kids to arrive. ‘Moof’ and ‘Spesh’ look like they might give birth soon too. More goat kid clips to come.

13.01.2022 Well that’s the last birthing for this season done. Last night our Moof gave birth to beautifully marked Boer goats; a girl and boy, both healthy. So blessed at Hinterland.

13.01.2022 It has been a 2 year long project from dream to delivery. After a very long road trip on the weekend from Mullumbimby to Narrabri and back, we finally welcomed our newest members to the Hinterland community- our Boer goats. Once their names have be decided by the students, we will proudly introduce them all. This morning, once the students had met the goats, we prayed and thanked the Lord for the safe delivery. What a wonderful way to start the week at Hinterland.

07.01.2022 Our 3-6 class was full of creativity on their colourful Day of Arts! Readers theatre performances creative photography scavenger hunt finishing off personality masks and playing creative games... it was all happening! Such a fun way to end the term. Enjoy your holidays everyone!

06.01.2022 As the Principal of Hinterland Christian College I am SO proud of our staff team! They have embraced our Remote Learning program with positive dedication. These photos show them calling parents to check in, conducting group online meetings, supporting our ‘essential workers’ children on campus. Excellent example of teachers working hard to make sure our community stays connected though socially isolated. #proudofourteachers

03.01.2022 We are SO excited!! Miss Upson got engaged over the weekend, and we couldn’t be happier for her. At Hinterland we love celebrating good news and we definitely love our Miss Upson. Congrats
