23.01.2022 It's that time of month again! We're on Saturday night! We've tabled a trio of principals that guide us as group and to help others understand what we're on about: 1) Game play is about trying to win, not about winning.... 2) Losing is a delight (and what we do most), trying to win is awesome fun, but we expect not to (n to 1 odds) 3) All games contain competition and we embrace it rather than deny it (you're competing against each other individually or in teams, or together against the mechanic of a game - yes even those cooperative games are competitions together against an abstract or well themed mechanic). If that appeals to you or a homely environment with tea, coffee, and wine on the table with soft background music, drop us line. https://www.facebook.com/events/468545413723545/

20.01.2022 It's on again! https://www.facebook.com/events/466742497452431/ it would be great to see solid presence there. We've been offered a table or two and we'll try and get the website on display and the standard spruik of what we do on the table. ... Please, make the effort to be there, help keep the table active and/or just visit and chat (if anyone's around ;-).

19.01.2022 We've opened a Discord site now, right alongside HoGS in the thinking that during these times of social isolation that Discord promises to provide the video conferencing tools to run a games night on-line. https://discord.gg/8HxenF

07.01.2022 A wise gamer noted! bear this in mind when bringing your phone to play ...

05.01.2022 It would be awesome if we could field a table or even two at this event: https://www.facebook.com/events/2785780311461464/ Who's in?... Could we get enough interest together for a double table of something like Löwenherz or just one of Die Händler (Merchants of the Middle Ages), to fit the medieval theme? Or the classic castle building game of Caylus?

04.01.2022 Ah, I remember doing just this from time to time in the '80s! Today we're happy if folk aren't afraid of turning into pumpkins at midnight ;-).

02.01.2022 We now have three games we've played side by side in 2019 thus far. Tigris and Euphrates, Löwenherz and Torres. Martin's bringing a third copy of Tigris into the fold so I wonder if we can run three games of T&E side by side one night ... that would be something! And as it happens we have 3 copies of Löwenherz to play with too now!

01.01.2022 We've racked up another double game session, this time of Torres. Been a while since this one got tabled and it's entry into our leaderboards, so we got a rule question or two to resolve and or wrong on the night but hey, we all played the same rules ;-).
