24.01.2022 Homeward Bound does decks, Homeward Bound does fences. In fact, we can do them together! The heritage woven wire fence here offers the illusion of space as its transparent, allowing more light in.

22.01.2022 Look at the difference a bit of pressure washing can do. Horizontal surfaces (especially) really hold the dirt, and particularly porous pavers. No chemicals used so its safe for the garden!

22.01.2022 My wife and I really wanted to do something truly creative here. We had the stencil drawn up by Glenbrae Signs, then we transferred it to the wall and painted in the image, directly on to the wall. Its a real centrepiece in our living room and the colours work a treat.

21.01.2022 In these projects, I've glued, dowelled and bolted timbers together to make a study desk and removable BBQ bench. The latter is utilising old timber house framing, exposing all the natural features. When using recycled timbers, I believe 'It's about effect, and not defect'!

16.01.2022 Got an odd job around the house? Give my neighbour Phil Vanderdrift a buzz. Quality builder with many years experience. The guy can do anything. He mounted my TV and Soundbar, like it was nothing. http://homewardbound.net.au

15.01.2022 This one was a great challenge, in that I had to build, clad (and paint the back of) the shed before it could be attached to the paving. I love a challenge!

15.01.2022 Well theres nothing like a party to get the creative juices flowing! I built this 60s bar and dance podium at my home for a Summer of 69 party theme, and dressed up my shed as a Tiki Bar for a Hawaiian themed gig. All good fun! (Just a note re the dance podium pic. The timber clad wall is the old framework I saved from the original section of house I demolished when we renovated at home. Its been coated in Cutek penetrating oil to preserve the timber)

14.01.2022 Gates and Fencing, its also what we do. I have this side path gate at my home in Cremorne. While the screen limits what can be seen from the street, the view through the gate is still transparent, allowing light to also penetrate.

14.01.2022 Floor repairs is also something that we do

14.01.2022 Heres a BBQ that needed some lovin! The current state of it was unusable, so after replacing the lintels, I increased the height so that it was user-friendly and the gas bottle could fit in below. Pressure washed, re-rendered, painted and now were cooking with gas!

13.01.2022 Nice going Peoples! Let's keep the love flowin'!

11.01.2022 With this project we did a full weatherboard replacement and painting of external cladding and windows. We repaired framework, installed insulation, sealed all the joints and the home is now thermally efficient.

11.01.2022 Heres a couple of examples of some (small) decks that Ive done recently. Look at how that Cutek CD-50 penetrating oil shows off the natural features of the grain! Love it!

08.01.2022 This particular task offered the opportunity to integrate new with old. I replaced the rotted timber stairs and stringer, then they were resealed to blend in with the existing structure.

05.01.2022 Nice going Peoples! Lets keep the love flowin!

01.01.2022 Heres an old Victorian fireplace I tiled a while back. Remaining sympathetic to the era of the home really suited the clients needs.
