25.01.2022 "Mitch at carconnect made finding my dream car very easy. I contacted him, explained exactly what I was looking for and the next day he had located a car in Sydney. He was able to add in a lot of additional extras and still managed to save me around $7,000 in comparison to the three dealers I contacted in Brisbane for a quote. I even managed to get an additional $2k for my trade in vehicle, so Mitch really did do his very best to ensure I was satisfied before I signed the paperwork. I was fully informed at all times along the way and I fully recommend carconnect." - Susan, QLD If you're in the market for a new work vehicle or family car, speak to the HIA Vehicles team today.

This year has brought unexpected challenges and it's important that we check in with ourselves as well as our family and friends even if they may seem fine on the outside. It was a struggle to go day-to-day and look too far into the future," says Robran who suffered from social anxiety that became so severe it made him physically... sick. Now a Beyond Blue speaker, Robran shares his story to help raise awareness about mental health. Robran sought support from his GP, has a recovery plan in place and can now tackle almost any situation without being held back by anxiety. For support and information about mental health visit www.beyondblue.org.au or call 1300 22 46 36.

16.01.2022 New rules for lending and property loans announced by Treasurer Josh Frydenberg could soon assist many Australians in the home ownership dream. This plan does not solve all the problems around access to finance and credit, however HIA believes it is a move in the right direction. Banks will still have to maintain appropriate application procedures and there is a mutual responsibility on the customer to supply accurate and truthful information when applying for a loan," says HIA Managing Director, Graham Wolfe. 16.01.2022 Being required to obtain both PLANNING and BUILDING approval creates issues for the timeliness of housing approvals, as well as additional design and application costs. Often, there are even undue impacts on the dwelling design, which require owners to make changes over and above the design code. To construct a single dwelling on a block should only require one approval. It’s time to shake up planning restrictions across the country. That's why HIA is lobbying for a nationally consistent approvals outcome for single dwellings known as One House One Approval.
