12.01.2022 This is my Whnau (family). Our little tribe - despite all the difficulties this year has rained. They have been with me through thick and thin. Sure I have these beautiful munchkins to come home to. But there is another family (outside my bloodline) that lives in every beat of my heart! @amend_movement is my whanaungatanga - a relationship, kinship, sense of family connection - a relationship through shared experiences and working together which provides people with ...a sense of belonging. 05.01.2022 On the weekend as most of you know I attended the @amend_movement men’s workshop. Without a shadow of doubt it’s exactly where I was meant to be. So today I decided to take the day for myself! Without guilt / fear / shame for taking a day to be kind to myself for once. To put myself first. First before clients, work colleagues and staff. To allow the healing and lessons from yesterday (which were monumental) a chance to bed in and become a part of my NEW DNA ... Yesterday - I turned my back on my phone, on social media and the chaos of society. I even swallowed my pride and asked people to look after my kids for me ( to those that did). And yesterday I faced my fears / guilt and shame! I may have DIS-connected from society; but at the same time I Disconnected from the Trauma and DIS-ease.... I was creating. But I was not alone .... I met myself there. My true self. My light; My Love and source! I was also surrounded by a tribe of brothers / warriors / kings / iwi - who were all on their own journey. But offered me a Love / acceptance and respect I have never seen or known before! And in my disconnection - I was reacquainted; with self; grounded and reconnected to nature and the universe! and no.... it wasn’t scary; it was beautiful; majestic!
