20.01.2022 What’s the Value of That Food to you????? Food and its macronutrient composition can influence how hungry or full you feel, your metabolic rate, brain activity and hormonal response. So, while 100 calories of broccoli and 100 calories of doughnuts contain the same amount of energy, they affect your body and food choices much differently. Four cups (340 grams) of broccoli have 100 calories and pack eight grams of fiber. Conversely, just one-half of a medium-sized glazed doughn...ut provides 100 calories, largely from refined carbs and fats. Now imagine eating four cups of broccoli in one sitting. Not only would it take a lot of time and effort to chew, but its high fiber content would leave you feeling much fuller than eating one-half of a doughnut, in which case you will most likely eat the other half!!! As a result, a calorie is not just a calorie. You should also focus on diet quality to increase dietary adherence and fat loss. See more

Heres Week 1 of lockdown Train at home with Robyn Jane- 5,4,3,2,1min 5min Stair running or step ups or skipping or combo of all... 4min (static or walking lunges 1min/mountain climbers 1min) x 2 3min (push ups x 10reps/band straight arm pulls (or chins) x 10reps) for 3min 2min Squats 30sec/squat jumps (or burpees) 30sec/squats 30sec/rest 30sec 1min perfect elbow-toe plank 1 x through = 15min 2 x 30min 3 x 45min Rest and drink water in between as required

17.01.2022 We are lucky enough to have a choice everyday, to live in a place with opportunities, space, good weather, so what are you procrastinating about??? Looking after the body you have been given, all the years you have to live in there, move about, jump, hug, leep, sit, stand, cycle, fall over and love. Take the time to be the best version of yourself, don't be the one that thinks it's all too hard and complain about stuff that is so irrelevant it doesn't even class as an excuse.

15.01.2022 When you exercise, train, lift, run, swim plan for an event, how much do you think about your nutrition and fluid requirements???? I just dont get it when I see people train their hardest only to limit their performance and recovery with pathetic nutritional practices. Spend some time getting this right and see your performance reach new heights.

07.01.2022 Ok so crazy times. Take it seriously or things will get serious. Things to remember from Fitness Specialist me- You HAVE control of your diet, eat to boost your immune system dont feed the stress. You CAN walk, run, cycle, paddle, workout, garden, clean, ring a friend so look after your physical and mental health, no excuses just adapt to whats possible. You CAN still support the small business around you, lots are doing home deliveries, be patient and understanding.... USE this time to discover new meals/recipes that have had less processing by many hands. For my athletes, reassess your goals and include weekly challenges. This might mean a distance goal, a mini time trial each week/fortnight to gauge your progress over the same course, or paddling with someone/a small group who challenges you. See more

06.01.2022 Ok People- so Easter is over, those lucky enough to still have a job are back at it one way or another. Since the lockdown/stay at home order how many comfort foods, home cooked treats and Easter chocolate has been consumed in your house??????? IT HAS TO STOP NOW, pull on your comfy clothes "sure" but STOP with the comfort eating..... you will hate yourself in a few weeks for letting your guard down and filling your body with extra calories and low nutrient dense food. Be real, and be really smart with your food. All of us are moving less because of COVID-19 and lets not be a casualty of it or add to an expanding waistline/butt or/and poor health from your own actions & decisions.

How has that gone for you?? 50% 70% 80%... Even better? are you still on track, if not where have you gone wrong? Dont throw your hands in the air and walk away, work out where you have fallen down--- get up, dust yourself off, learn from that and move on, onward to a different plan, one that will result in SUCCESS. 03.01.2022 As the last days of 2019 disappear its time to set some goals for 2020 and beyond. I challenge you to write down 10 things that you can do to improve yourself... now this can be say 5 things that you know would improve your physical & mental health and then 5 things that you can do to improve your financial health. It may see you be able to take that holiday or buy that item, visit that friend or buy your next 10 PT sessions that will help with those first 5 things!! When t...hinking of change to improve ourselves the answer is 9/10 within our own knowledge, it is us that know when we are being destructive or negative, it is us that can pinpoint the things that need improvement or a little more of our time & commitment. Then once you have these things pinpointed it may take a little bit of coaching, assistance or guidance from outside to make it doable and successful. See more

You may find he’s a pain in the neck or a pain in the ass. And some days he’s all you can think about. When he’s with you its sometimes hard to move, But moving is sometimes the only way to get a break from Arthur being such a pain. He may have you reaching for medication, various sorts, anything to get a break from him. He makes you grumpy and others around you may not understand.
