22.01.2022 The Triple R - 3RRR 102.7FM Radiothon is in full swing and its time for the annual "give em money" poem. Here are the poems with Ed Bates playing up a storm and I found a post by Matt Quinn that summed up perfectly why supporting public radio is a great thing to do.... https://ianbland.com.au/bland-on-bland-3rrr-radiothon-2020/
21.01.2022 Sunday night @ 7PM Melbourne Time Greg and I doing a bracket Thirty minutes of poetry and music that like a politician's promise blends fact with half truths and total bullshit. If it didn't actually happen, then it should have.
20.01.2022 The first of the #CovidPoems from back in March (finally) Our first week doing the show from the home, Jon and I chatted on the phone ( as I can no longer travel to the studio) about the strangeness of being locked in. Our situation is the obvious choice of the theme.... No Ed this week, flying solo, have a listen to how it went below https://ianbland.com.au/bland-on-bland-isolation/
17.01.2022 JVG's theme this week was "Call of the Water" and by a strange piece of luck I had been able to visit The Ian Potter Centre at Fed Square and been looking at among other things ‘Slumbering Sea’ by Tom Roberts. It's a painting of the area I grew up in and seemed to be the perfect inspiration for today's poem.https://ianbland.com.au/bland-on-bland-call-of-the-water/
16.01.2022 And we are back @ Triple R - 3RRR 102.7FM and the JVG Radio Method for 2020. First one for the year and JVG picked a pretty good place to start. I enjoyed writing this one, end of the break, the neighbourhood, what more could you ask for? Lets get the year started. https://ianbland.com.au/bland-on-bland-sundown/
16.01.2022 Well, this topic came as a complete surprise and a bit. I truly can’t believe that JVG let me put it to air and even more surprised that he liked it Here, in all of it’s nine and a half minute of glory is the missing JVG Radio Method poem Vietnam from a week or so back ... https://ianbland.com.au/bland-on-bland-vietnam/1
16.01.2022 A lot of people asked me to get this up on the website The theme for last weeks JVG 3RRR Radio Method was Conspiracy Theories. Obviously the lockdown is getting to Jon. The choice of themes is just getting how can I put this out there?... This week isn’t a poem, its more a film noir radio play ( obviously without the film its radio) but given the choice of theme it seemed a great way to have a lot of fun.https://ianbland.com.au/bland-on-bland-conspiracy-theories/
15.01.2022 Well well well, if it isn’t Triple R - 3RRR 102.7FM’s very own Ian Bland hanging out on me hay bale. He’ll be hitting the stages at 1pm & 4.30pm in the morrow for tunes & short story slam folks. All stories welcome.
15.01.2022 The theme for this week’s Triple R - 3RRR 102.7FM JVG Radio Method poem is Holding Something. It seems to have gone off on a bit of a tangent this week. What’s different to any other week I hear you say? Point taken!... JVG is back in control. Such as it is, I don’t think he really liked last week minor insurrection. Ed Bates provided the music backing and great guitars. Mike Thatcher provided the audio production, Have a listen on the website... https://ianbland.com.au/bland-on-bland-holding-something/
15.01.2022 The theme for this week’s JVG Radio Method poem is Civil Disobedience. In the finest tradition of be careful what you wish for, last week, I stupidly suggested this weeks theme. Now, most of you playing along at home would have assumed that if I was going to open my mouth that I would have had a Baldrickian cunning plan up my sleeve, a poem written, a masterpiece that fitted the topic so good that they would be nominating me for the Prime Minister’s Literary Awards. Ala...s you would be wrong.... Head to the website https://ianbland.com.au/bland-on-bland-civil-disobedience/
14.01.2022 The theme for this Triple R - 3RRR 102.7FM JVG Radio Method poem was Relinquishing Control. A serious poem for serious times and then even more worryingly JVG had huge technical issues the remote software he was using and had to relinquish control and abandon the show. Lockdown and COVID are making for interesting times... https://ianbland.com.au/bland-on-bland-relinquishing-contr/

11.01.2022 Greg and I will be playing another "live" show tonight as well as talking about some broader issues Join us
06.01.2022 The theme for this week’s JVG Radio Method poem is Breathing. This week JVG discussed zen breathing, social distancing or the lack of it, having meetings in the park. Doing the rehearsal for the Saltwater festival... Anyway this week Ed and I lifted our game on the poem’s production. https://ianbland.com.au/bland-on-bland-breathing-2/
03.01.2022 The theme for this week’s JVG Radio Method poem is Traffic Management. Another poem from lockdown and after the strangeness that is the Triple R - 3RRR 102.7FM Radiothon, JVG has decided to relax back into his usual toying with us all and chose Traffic Management as the theme this week. I ask you, what the hell am I supposed to do with that? Traffic Management isn’t so much a theme as its government ad campaign. Still, you have to work with what you are given.... Ed Bates provided the music backing and sound effects. Thatch provided the audio production, have a listen to how it went below https://ianbland.com.au/bland-on-bland-traffic-management/
01.01.2022 The theme for this Triple R - 3RRR 102.7FM JVG Radio Method poem is Relinquishing Control (Reprised). After the issues with previous show JVG decided that seeing as though I was the only contributor who made it to air, he was going to reprise the theme so that every else who had worked so hard could get their bits to air. He offered me repeating the choice of repeating last weeks poem or if I felt like it doing something new. I chose the latter and the cult of sourdough ba...kers seemed like the perfect target .... https://ianbland.com.au/bland-on-bland-relinquishing-contr/ See more
