22.01.2022 Canon C300 MKIII and C500 MKII offer awesome picture and AF performance in compact and lightweight bodies. As part of making these cameras compatible with our Quick Mode Change ecosystem we updated our ‘Venice top plate’ to ‘Top Plate B’ which now covers a larger range of cameras.... We also created a new spacer plate to ensure rigid connection for our Gimbal Mate Bottom Plate. In terms of power, you can use the BP-A30/60s, cables from MoVI Pro and Ronin 2 or even the Hammerhead works nicely for larger setups. A huge congratulations to Josh Lamont ACS for his recent accreditation and his gold award last night for ‘Defiance. Rewarded: https://vimeo.com/410019307 We provided 1st AC, gimbal support and it was one of the first shoots we got the Kessler Crane Recon buggy out for. Josh’s will now head to compete against the other state gold award winners in the National ACS awards!

12.01.2022 Mike from VidMuze Cinema, LLC worked with Tim Daust and his RED Komodo for a couple of test shoots. The tiny body (~1kg, 2.2lb) of the RED Komodo is awesome, but makes balancing the 2kg (4.4lb) Tokina Cinema USA Vista Primes with mattebox and filter a challenge. Without the Ignite Digi Keystone, the full setup weighed 19.2lb / 8.7kg... With Keystone, only 17.6lb / 8kg. Mike enjoyed the additional functionality and rigging space of the Keystone and saved weight in the process! Adding useful weight in the right areas actually can save you having to add counterweights!

08.01.2022 Proud to say our 'Keystone for RED KOMODO' has been RED 3rd party approved! Plenty more parts in the pipeline for the Komodo ... Special thanks to everyone who has bought one, for their support and feedback. Thanks to Jarred and the RED team for the Komodo journey so far, its only just warming up! It's scary being one of the first to release and ship a product for a camera that is still in pre release! We machined a Komodo body from aluminium based on the drawings and weight specs released in February. This allowed us to start playing with rigging, different gimbal setups and getting thoughts from customers. This was definitely the most challenging part we’ve made from a design and machining perspective. There’s a total of 112 threaded holes, on 6 sides, all needing to have an intersecting hole to ensure a good anodising finish. Lots of iteration, tears and lessons learned. A lot of function and flexibility is packed into it for use stripped down through to running a full studio package on it. #redkomodo #ignitedigi #r3d #movipro #ronin2
