22.01.2022 ATTENTION - All CVS volunteers will not be able to visit their residents in AGED CARE FACILITIES until further notice. This is best advice also for those who visit in private homes. If able, please phone those who you would normally visit, and at the same time wish them well for Easter. State Government Direction: o No personal visitors including care and support visitors are allowed to enter. o Only people providing an essential purpose will be allowed to enter.... o End of life visits may still be allowed. HAPPY EASTER ALL!

03.01.2022 Happy International Day of Older Persons! COVID-19 may have presented challenges for older Australians this year, but that does not mean we shouldn't celebrate our amazing seniors. Make sure to take time today to acknowledge the incredible older people in your life.

01.01.2022 Tammy Bentley is a living example of how to turn a setback into an opportunity as she brings life and colour to elderly residents in IMPACT Community Services' Community Visitors Scheme (CVS) . A few years ago Tammy injured her back and had to regularly go to Brisbane . She decided all the time she spent waiting and on trains could be put to better use, so she bought some supplies and began colouring . It changed her life and now she’s sharing her passion and amazing a...bility with her friends at a Bundaberg aged care facility. Our Community Visitors Scheme - CVS : Impact Community Services needs more volunteers. You don’t have to be as creative as Tammy; just someone who can bring friendship to another person who lives in an aged care facility in the Bundaberg or Burnett regions . To register call us on 4153 4233 or go to http://ow.ly/MMMq50AJQf7 To read Tammy’s story go to http://ow.ly/vDzv50AJQfb. See more
