The type of fever which indicates that Aconite may be needed is worth noting. Constantin Hering, one of the most famous pioneers of homeopathy, described it thus: Heat, with thirst; hard, full and frequent pulse, anxious impatience, inappeasable, beside himself, tossing about with agony. To this you add the rider that it usually follows a chill, and that it is invariably accompanied by great thirst. All these paint the picture of Aconite. Common cold, conjunctivitis or sudden, unbearable earache that comes on suddenly after a chill is suggestive of the need for Aconite. So too is vertigo and dizziness that comes after a shock. And facial pain or trigeminal neuralgia that comes after great shock and which is provoked by the wind may well respond to Aconite. According to one article, this use of homeopathy has resulted in an 80...% reduction in use of antibiotics. As they explain, this is a benefit for more than just the cows, "less antibiotics means less antibiotic milk that has to be disposed of. Fewer antibiotics in the slurry, better soil health, less groundwater pollution."

09.01.2022 Good news for the future of Homoeopathy!

08.01.2022 I've been using Homoeopathy since my eldest son was born - 19 years ago. Even though I'm now a Practicing Homoeopath, this gentle medicine never ceases to amaze me on what results it can produce from just a couple of little small pillules that can "kick-start" the body into healing itself. In the last few months I've witnessed some of these incredible responses for my 2-legged and 4-legged children (horses)! Eldest son had hip surgery to repair torn cartilage from a previou...s Cricket injury whilst wicket-keeping, was told he wouldn't play cricket for 12 months and the recovery would be LONG. Post surgery he took very little pain-killers and was kept on homeopathic remedies and tissue salts to support his body in the healing process, whilst also commencing his Physio rehab. Fast-forward 2 1/2 months and he's commenced wicket-keeping training - the surgeons response is "Astonishing" and the Physio is stoked with his progress. Eldest horse (28yrs) has been prone to colic all of her life and has had multiple visits from the Vet over the years, sometimes we were close to losing her. In the last 3 months she's had a bad case of colic where homoeopathy came to the rescue, and in recent weeks had further digestive problems where the remedies again have brought her back to her strong, healthy self, ready for the next Endurance ride - "Yes" she's still doing 20kms in just over 2 hours!! Two vet visits avoided! Eldest dog (9yrs) was found yesterday morning in considerable pain after appearing to have re-injured his shoulder. He was shaking from the shock and couldn't move. Several minutes after the first remedy, the shaking ceased, a short time later he got up and walked away (albeit gingerly). Today, he's running around like normal! Another vet bill avoided! And lastly, my youngest, has dealt with ingrown toenail issues and infections for the last 12 months. One single remedy has produced longer-lasting healing than any of the various multi-resistant antibiotics she has had to take, not to mention within a considerably quicker timeframe - a dramatic healing response was seen within 48hours and went on to completely heal 2 out of the 3 toes affected. She still went through with the toe surgery to correct the nail growth. Whilst supported by Homeopathic remedies to assist in nerve recovery and general healing of the affected area, the hospital staff were surprised at how "little" pain relief she required - only having Panadol two days after the surgery. Homoeopathy - a gentle medicine working with the body (both human and animal) to produce some incredible results. 04.01.2022 Homeopathic help for 'flu - continuing with Gelsemium. This remedy covers a large percentage of the ordinary, typical ’flu cases familiar to us all. Where often... someone feels a bit out of sorts the day before, possibly a little headachy, a little feverish, a bit of vague pain: he goes to bed, does not sleep very well and next morning he feels rotten. Gelsemium ’flu is rather slow in onset, usually coming on over six to eight hours and produces primarily a feeling of intense weariness. The patient is very dull and tired, looks bleary-eyed and sleepy, with heavy, drooping eyelids being a keynote of Gelsemium. They feel hot and sticky, and yet have the sensation of little shivers of cold up and down their backs, as if someone had spilt a little cold water down their back. The Gelsemium patient tends to feel shaky, with a tremor in their hands noticeable when they try and lift something and they tend to get very shivery when exposed to cold draughts. They tend to have an unpleasant headache that is usually throbbing, affecting the back of the head radiating into the neck and there is a generalised aching soreness in the muscles. Despite their sensitiveness and dry mouth, patients with Gelsemium ’flu are not usually very thirsty. This lack of thirst is another keynote of Gelsemium.
