23.01.2022 William's gorgeous Audi S4 is now cruising the streets of Victoria!
20.01.2022 Proud to be assisting with this project, getting the mini-motorhome (and support vehicle) to Australia, then back to the UK. What a crazy adventure!
18.01.2022 Oh how we Aussies laughed when we saw that the UK was going through a 'heatwave' with temperatures in the LOW 30s! Feel free to return the favour as we all panic over here about hypothermia with maximum temperatures expected of around 11 degrees in our capital cities...
03.01.2022 Here's one we prepared earlier! Thanks to customer Geoff for sending in a photo of his gorgeous Range Rover we helped bring over from the UK. The number plate was a complete fluke - there's nothing like getting something easy to remember!
02.01.2022 ***NEWSFLASH*** Productivity Commission Report into the future of the Australian vehicle manufacturing industry released!! As you can probably imagine, most of it is related to the Australian manufacturing side of things, but here are the important bits for lovers of imported cars (copy-paste): The Australian Government should progressively relax the restrictions on the importation of second-hand passenger and light commercial vehicles. ... The new regulatory arrangements for imported second-hand vehicles should be developed in accordance with the outcomes of the Australian Government’s current review of the Motor Vehicle Standards Act 1989 (Cwlth) and should: not commence before 2018, and ensure that reasonable advance notice is given to affected individuals and businesses, such as vehicle leasing companies be preceded by a regulatory compliance framework that includes measures to provide appropriate levels of community safety, environmental performance and consumer protection initially be limited to vehicles manufactured no earlier than five years prior to the date of application for importation be limited to second-hand vehicles imported from countries that have vehicle design standards which are consistent with those recognised by Australia. In every day language, they're advocating a 5-year scheme where cars 5 years or less are eligible for import. Great but not ideal in that the 'sweet spot' for purchasing used cars is around 7 years, but it's a good start. Some other good stuff in there too which certainly helps our cause - the real news will come when the review of the Motor Vehicle Standards Act is released in the next few weeks. http://www.pc.gov.au///pdf_file/0020/135218/automotive.pdf
