25.01.2022 Hello Ivanhoe primary school community. As you may or may not be aware during this difficult time we have had a lovely Englishman join us to help keep our school clean and safe. Joe has been with us a few months and has made a huge impact to all of us. During his time he approached Mark in regard to leaving his mark at the school. He was given the task of painting an electricity box at the front of the school. Joe has finally finished it and he is leaving Australia tomorrow to return home. He will be missed by all of us that have worked along side him. Thank you Joe for your fantastic work and your beautiful artwork that will be with us forever now.

17.01.2022 While COVID-19 restrictions keep families from visiting schools for the purpose of enrolment. Ivanhoe Primary School intends to publish several brief video introductions to the school. In this first instalment, Mark Kent, the Principal introduces the school. Subsequent videos will introduce students and teachers as well as provide insight into specific curriculum programs. If IPS is your local school, please feel free to contact us by the phone number or email presented in the video to arrange a virtual tour. https://youtu.be/g_nEGKm2cd8

13.01.2022 Although restrictions have eased, prospective students and families still cannot visit and tour the school so some of this year’s Foundation Students have made a movie to show you what is important to them. We hope you enjoy your visit. https://youtu.be/ekOG-9wORLo

05.01.2022 Following advice from the Department of Education and Training we will be moving to remote and flexible learning from Term 2, to help slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). This means that all students who can learn at home must learn from home. This is a very clear directive from the Victorian Government based on the advice of the Chief Health Officer. The Department’s latest advice on coronavirus can be found at https://www.education.vic.gov.au/coronavirus... It is important that we work together and support each other during this challenging time. We will be in touch with staff and parents and carers shortly with further details of what remote and flexible learning will look like at our school. In the meantime, you might find it useful to look at the Department’s Learning from Home website. It provides resources and guidance for teachers and parents and carers. https://www.education.vic.gov.au//Pa/learningfromhome.aspx Please continue to stay safe and healthy.

03.01.2022 Some of our students have written letters to doctors and nurses at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, and they're very grateful!
