25.01.2022 ~ Mr & Mrs Smalbil ~ Wow! What an emotional day! After finding out on Tuesday night that their wedding plans couldnt go ahead Chad & Elli were determined to let love win. Chads parents joined us as their witnesses and with the help of their dog Rebel they said I do. It was amazing. Emotional, sentimental and a day I will never forget.... Beach goers clapped, obviously aware of the sacrifices Chad & Elli had made to ensure they were married. Although we were apart in distance it felt like the entire beach was united behind this wedding ceremony. I cant wait to do it all again with you next year when everyone you love can share this special moment. But for my couples who have spent a year planning their wedding.... only days away, it seems so cruel. There are still options and if couples are desperate to legally marry on their planned day it can happen. But if you want the wedding you have dreamed, the one surrounded by your loved ones, fill...ed with cuddles and dancing and laughs.... my advice is to postpone. 09.01.2022 ~ Mr & Mrs Jones ~ Yesterday Bevan & Kelly were meant to be enjoying their big white wedding in Goolwa. Instead we celebrated their marriage in the backyard. It was a secret little ceremony and it was perfect! When the ceremony was over their Dads joined them outside to celebrate (whilst social distancing) and an array of impromptu speeches began. There was so much love and respect shared between these two newly united families.... 02.01.2022 Around 4:30mins in they talk about weddings. Not knowing what the future holds makes planning a wedding VERY hard. I wish I could wave my magic wand and fix this for my couples. Listening to this interview I can only assume that 2020 weddings will not return to the large gatherings we are used to. Couples will need to consider postponing to 2021 or celebrating with a much smaller gathering.... I can guarantee one thing though..... whether we celebrate with a smaller group this year or a larger group next year IT WILL BE AN AMAZING DAY YOU WILL NEVER FORGET!
