25.01.2022 COURAGE Is the difference between those who achieve their health & weight loss goals & those who don't. Its not time, money, genetics, motivation, discipline or anything else.... It is the ability to do something, and keep doing that something, that may be frightening. It is perseverance in the face of difficulty, adversity, feeling uncomfortable, nervous, anxious, pain, uncertainty. The courage to keep going even when it looks like it is not working. To say NO when the world around you is SCREAMING at you for your attention. The courage to put yourself FIRST! Before the job, kids, partner, social outings. The courage to be DIFFERENT to who you used to be. The courage to try a new approach that is not what everyone else is doing. To invest money & time in your future body & self. The courage to let go of habits, behaviour, relationships that no longer serve you & your health. The courage to become the role model you want to be to your family. The courage to push through the temporary pain for one more rep or 10 more seconds! I was freakin TERRIFIED when I walked in to my first serious lifting gym. Lifting heavy scared the bejesus out of me!! Still does at times! I still cant believe I did it. Lucky for me I had an INCREDIBLE coach who supported me to make the drastic changes I needed to. Binging on food, alcohol, drugs, partying all weekend were NOT part of my new training & nutrition protocol... Courage is like a muscle. The more you work it, the stronger it gets! All you need do is find the courage to just START. Chunk down your courage to one step at a time. Join the gym. Organise a complimentary session with a PT. Block out time in your diary. Learn about weight lifting. One session at a time. I was a beginner just like you 9 years ago.. And the rest, as they say, is history! If I can do it, you can too! 12.01.2022 INCREDIBLE human Who transformed this clinically depressed, drunken, binge eating, pill popping, suicidal party girl into a vibrant, healthy, energetic, HAPPY, loving life, muscle hungry fitness model! Tom played a MASSIVE role in my journey & was instrumental in not only the changes in my physique but mentored me on an emotional & spiritual level that led to my recovery.... And he didn't even know how broken I was.. (I might have lied on my pre-questionnaire..) Which is a testament to his coaching style. Supportive, caring, nurturing & empowering. Having not had any effective male role models my entire life he showed me that men of honour do exist. That loyalty, honesty, integrity are not forgotten qualities. That I deserve to be treated with respect! And he inspired these qualities in me. The universe was certainly looking out for me the day our lives crossed paths back in Sept 2012! All I am today, all I have overcome, all my achievements both physically & mentally, are due to the platform created by our time together. He believed in me, saw potential in me that I had never seen before and gently led me down a path that led to me finding not only my passion but my mission for this life. We parted ways 4 years ago. SO excited to reunite yesterday!! Now as a PT myself I am honored to follow in his footsteps. And so grateful to he invited to listen & learn at a seminar he presented yesterday on program design & muscle hypertrophy. It was like learning my passion all over again from a trainers perspective from the same man who taught me as a client!! Thank you so much @tomhewett @theduboismethod @primestrengthau .

08.01.2022 Any so called terminal illness you care to name & there is someone out there who has "miraculously" cured themselves. Many people have been given only months to live by doctors. And have lived a long life. I myself have declined surgery twice and overcome osteoarthritis &... adenomyosis. I have also conquered clinical depression, anxiety, addictions and survived suicide attempts. Cured IBS and chronic UTIs. I had a symptom FREE menopause. Never mind not looking 54!! All done naturally and WITHOUT a doctor. In fact doctors made many of my conditions worse!! I have NO fear of cancer, diabetes, heart disease or any other illness including COVID!! And I KNOW I will not need a walking frame in my senior years! With all the study I have done on nutrition, health & fitness. On the power of the mind & how MIRACULOUS our bodies actually are. On the people who have overcome these so called terminal illnesses. I don't see these as miracles at all. Our bodies are the most sophisticated, miraculous machines on earth. Their design, engineering, sheer brilliance is no match for ANY man made computer. We just haven't been taught how to operate it!! And we have been conditioned to believe that doctors, drugs & surgery is the only way to heal our Stone Age bodies. If you create the right environment with nutrition, lifestyle, exercise, mindset. If you manage stress. If you educate yourself & are willing to learn a new approach. Mother Natures approach!! If YOU support your body your body will support YOU! And you too can create miracles! .

04.01.2022 How many weights sessions do you need a week to see results? Always a burning question when you start down the lifting road. Of course it depends on your starting point. But when you make the decision to change your body composition?... We want it NOW! When I first started I went straight to 5 x a week. And I have done so for 9 years straight.. Without one week off.. #readthatagain Absolutely aspire to have my physique! But please appreciate the time it has taken me to build. At a minimum you should start with 3 sessions a week. And this is strength training. If you have fat to lose then there needs to be the right type of cardio sessions also. If you want change NOW? 5 times a week. I would also recommend at least 2 sessions a week with a PT You are learning a whole different way to move. And I see many clients not even able to make the mind/muscle connection to do the movement correctly or at all! Sometimes even after weeks I am having to cue the same correction. Not to mention the inability to lift heavy due to mindset. We have lost connection with our bodies. We have little appreciation for its capabilities. And we do not use our bodies for what it is intended! Learning the correct form for these vital movements in the gym is CRITCAL. Lifting HEAVY is also critical!! Can you do this on your own..? Investing in a PT is an investment in your future self. It’s not just about the body.. It’s about: education accountability support motivation A PT shows you what is possible when you think it’s impossible!! Gently pushes you outside your comfort zone to achieve what you thought you couldn’t. Are you ready to learn this life & body changing way of training?? .
