24.01.2022 I recently made a cleaning concoction for cleaning kitchen benches, baths, showers and toilets. Half cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice, 1 tablespoon morning fresh dishwashing liquid, half cup of white vinegar ( not homebrand) and top spray bottle up with water. For cleaning the glass of the shower doors...wet cloth then spray cleaning product, wash of with another wet cloth and a then a dry cloth. This cleaning mixture is especially good for toilets that smell of urine. For benches always use a damp cloth after spraying then wipe over with a dry cloth. Do not use on stainless steel.

18.01.2022 If you have any plastic containers that smell...like I put laundry powder in one of my small plastic containers and the smell wouldn't come out...so I filled it up with vinegar and placed 2 slices of lemon in it, left it overnight and BAM the smell of laundry powder has gone....now I have sugar in it.

14.01.2022 To clean the awkward areas like the grooves around the shower base, I use an artists paint brush that way it doesn't scratch the enamel.

13.01.2022 Hi All, I've been using Bosisto's Multipurpose Eucalyptus spray lately, it does an amazing job on stainless steel rangehoods...I have diluted my bottle, due to its strong scent but you can use it as is. I also noticed its excellent on stainless steel dishwashers. I recently read... one study has shown that a room spray containing eucalyptus oil will kill 75 per cent of airborne pathogens.. This product is gentle on skin and eco friendly and its not tested on animals.

10.01.2022 A great way of killing weeds also its eco friendly, is pour boiled water on the weeds, within 2 days there dead.

09.01.2022 Oven Rack cleaner.....1 cup of Vanish Gold Napisan liquid...place oven racks in your bath pour the napisan liquid into the bath under the running hot water. In a jug place 1 cup white vinegar, 2 teaspoons of bi carbonate soda and 2 tablespoons of Palmolive divine blends dishwashing liquid...mix together then pour over the soaking racks. Leave for 2 hours, longer if heavily soiled. After a couple of hours drain and use a steel wool scourer to get off remaining residue. Rinse and dry.

04.01.2022 With COVID-19 around here's some cleaning tips... Deep cleaning is not the same as spring cleaning...You need to wipe down your benches, mobile phones, doorknobs, handles at least twice a day with hot soapy water then 10 minutes later disinfect with the least toxic biodegradable product.. Dettol antibacterial spray is great.. or diluted bleach. Make sure you test the product first on any surfaces first just in case it reacts and damages. Also don't use anything that's too str...ong around family who are asthmatics or with respiratory problems. Open windows and doors on sunny days. Take care and stay safe.
