16.01.2022 YES THE MARKET IS STILL RUNNING! After discussion and lots of advice in relation to Covid-19 it has been determined that the Albury Wodonga Farmers Market shoul...d continue. Everyone needs to purchase fresh food which makes this an essential outing/service To build and maintain a healthy immune system we need access to fresh, nutrient dense & local food. Our market is held outside in the sun and fresh air, not inside. There is less handling from farm to market as food items are packed by few people rather than many for supermarkets. The most important reason to continue is to support our farmers and food producers! If you have attended the market in the past couple of weeks you will have seen a few changes: We have several hand washing stations positioned around the market with soap, water & paper towels Hand sanitiser will be available at many individual stalls We have spaced the stalls further apart There are NO tastings or samplings - these are only available on request We have stopped setting up tables & chairs so groups of people aren't encouraged to gather We have made the decision that there will be NO live music, to deter people gathering at this time We ask that where possible you pay with cards We ask that anyone displaying "flu-like" symptoms or have recently traveled not attend the market We ask shoppers to please minimise or refrain from handling food items as much as possible Please maintain social distancing of at least 1.5mts when you are waiting in line, within stall area and in general around the market We are looking forward to seeing you on Saturday! Bring your baskets and reusable bags and load up on fresh local food to support your own health and our farming community.
