19.01.2022 CITY COUSINS We’ve milked the Cows, ploughed the paddock & mustered the Sheep, When you awake from your good night’s Sleep, You start the day with fresh fruit, ...Paw Paw, Rockmellon,Pineapple & maybe some Juice, You wash down your Cereal with bone building Milk, a Cuppa & Toast, Now you dress for the day in a smart Cotton Shirt & pull on your fine Woollen Suit, If you’re a Tradie on go the Hard Yakkas, the Wool Socks & don’t forget the Cotton Jocks, Now Lunch comes around and you’re feeling a bit peckish, You sit down to Chicken, Ham or Pork with salad Lettuce, Tomatoes & Beetroot, With a gut full of good Tucka you work hard the rest of the day, Then home to your house with the Timber we grew, You relax with a beer from the Barley & Hops or a Wine from the Grapes that we grow, Then to Dinner you tuck into a Juicy Steak, Roast Lamb or maybe a Snag or two with Veges, Potatoes, Pumpkin, Carrots & Greens, Tired from a hard day’s work you slip off to sleep between your Crisp Cotton Sheets & if it gets cold the Wool Blankets are by your side. Now City Cousins I think you will agree, we are Intrinsically Linked We are happy to grow the Food & Fibre for the Blue’s, the Red’s & even Chickpeas & Lentils for the Green’s, for the Rich & the Poor, for those from all lands, we not discriminate, We don’t interfere when your Suburbs sprawl we trust you’ll look after the Land We can handle the Droughts, the Floods and the millions of Roos but my City Cousins the Veg Laws your Pollies are about to bring in will make it impossible for us to produce this food & fibre for you So City Cousins I ask you to stand with us and encourage your Pollies to give us a Fair Go!! Wear your green shirts and be loud and proud as we continue the campaign for fair and balanced vegetation management laws. Please be robust but respectful and do NOT swear or give any reason for the Premier or State Government Ministers to claim they feel ‘threatened’ or ‘intimidated’.
