18.01.2022 Fr John Langtry will always hold a special place in our hearts and in the memories of our parish. Fr John Langtry was the first appointed priest of John The Baptist church on the 16th of January 1985. He was the founding Parish Priest of Bonnyrigg Heights and was the motivational force behind the new school. It was Fr. John who suggested to Cardinal Freeman that the new College be named in his honour.... Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and all those who knew him. "We thank you, God, our merciful Father for the gift of our priest Fr John Langtry who devoted his life for his flock, particularly at John the Baptist parish. We beseech Thee to reward his faithfulness and forgive his faults, admitting him to Thy Holy Presence, there to enjoy forever lasting peace. This we ask through Jesus Christ Thy Son our Lord, Amen"

14.01.2022 Words of wisdom from our JB kids. What Jesus means to me. *Jesus died on the cross to show how loving and how caring he is to everyone. To show him that we thank him we can be kind to people and be helpful to people and to help the community. Noah Milford 7 years old... *To me, Jesus is our saviour because he sacrificed himself to save us from our sins. He also means the light of the world. Since Jesus is within us through all times good and bad according to the Scriptures technically we are Jesus. Madison 10 years old *Jesus to me is the light of the world, the symbol of warmth, justice and everlasting love. He is the one that we turn to whenever in doubt or for encouragement. We praise him for his amazing selfless qualities for he sacrificed himself by the influence of his Father and his own considerate motive which was to care for us. He gave His life for us to relieve all humans from original sin and to show us human how much we mean to Him. So in my lifetime, I want to try and do my best to become a better server and follower of Christ to show Him how much He means to me because to me He means the world. Michaela 12 years old
