24.01.2022 Another busy weekend! Fabricated a galvanised steel wall frame for our friends at Renoworx Melbourne. Looking forward to seeing the installed product during the week! Even had the new apprentice out to assist and make sure the quality is up to scratch!

23.01.2022 Work in progress. Some of our gates under construction! Now for a quick coat of paint and to install with some lovely merbau hardwood cladding.

21.01.2022 Happy new year to all and we hope everyone enjoyed the christmas break. We are already hard at work with the first job of the year. This customer wanted to fit a custom muffler to his ktm 690. We have designed and fabricated a stainless steel mid pipe to go from the existing header pipe to match up to the new muffler. This helped to enhance the sound and provided significant weight savings over the stock system!

18.01.2022 Here at JW Engineering Services we can also provide modifications and servicing for all trailers and Horse Floats. This float required a service and freshen up before being offered for sale. We checked over the floor and all structural components to ensure they were not rotting/rotten or rusted through. After a through check over this float only presented with surface rust so we sanded it back, treated with rust converter and repainted the entire float inside and out.... As part of the service the hydraulic brakes and bearings were also checked and greased as required. The float has come up a treat see the before and after pictures! We are mobile so can come to you for Float servicing and can carry out some repairs on site. Please PM us for more information.

17.01.2022 We have 2 New exciting projects underway this week. Upon providing a Our clients a quote they wanted to see their ideas and design on paper before manufacturing began. We were able to provide CAD drawings and detailed models before manufacture starts to give you confidence that your finished gate solution will suit your needs and style before the welder gets switched on and any metal gets cut. This is an additional service provided free of charge to our clients that is generally done after quoting, All we need is some rough dimensions and a design that you have in mind and we can work together on a concept that fits your ideas and budget. 16.01.2022 The newest tools in our arsenal. We have recently invested in a professional 3d design program from autodesk as well as a 3d printer. Allowing us to go from an idea to physical product in a matter of hours! This is a holder to help arrange the tooling for our milling machine. 15.01.2022 Another weekend, another gate project complete in Bloomdale estate in Diggers Rest. Very happy with how these have turned out and the customers are over the moon too with new gates to match their new home!

14.01.2022 Repaired the broken fins on this cylinder head today. With a little bit of bead blasting and some more filing you will never know it was ever damaged!

14.01.2022 Interesting project at the moment making a fully custom stainless steel exhaust system for a vintage dirt bike. This project will be ongoing over the next few weeks as we wait for parts to arrive. Very happy with how it is turning out so far!

11.01.2022 Gate frame for another happy customer! Heavy duty with 6565 galvanised steel for the outside perimeter.

10.01.2022 Got started on the latest job today. A repeat customer contacted me to see if we could assist with extending their pergola. This is one of the 2 trusses for the roof. All parts will be assembled on site as it will be too large to transport once all welded together.

08.01.2022 Big day ahead to try to complete an upcoming job. Have already precut the steel so now a long day on the welder is ahead to turn these tubes into something usefull!

06.01.2022 More motorcycle part repairs. This side case had some large cracks. Being off a 42 year old bike new parts arnt readily available. Spending some time with a grinder to groove the crack then it was tig welded up. This part being made of cast material was difficult to weld and it took a few times welding and sanding back to make sure there were no porosity holes. Now its ground back you can hardly tell a repair was made. Some time in the bead blaster and a coat of paint and it will be good as new!

04.01.2022 Been working on a little personal project over the last week or so. Custom aluminum motorcycle carrier for the front of my camper trailer. Had the ramp folded up out of 2mm alum sheet then I made a custom dimple die to dimple the centre of the ramp. Not only does the cutting of the holes reduce the weight the dimpling actually makes the part stiffer and stronger. As a bonus it will also provide some grip on the ramp. I will post up some photos when its all finished.

03.01.2022 Another saturday another job! Great weather today to be outside. Finished off this pergola frame today. Designed to match the existing structure. Trusses were pre fabricated in the workshop then everything was welded together on site.

03.01.2022 Big day today installing this one. 9.5m wide with a 4.8m sliding opening.

02.01.2022 After making the frame a few weeks ago we were invited back to fit the customers gate on site. The client did a wonderfull job with the timberwork and has ended up with a great looking gate! Call us for a quote for your gate requirements. 01.01.2022 We have an exciting new addition to the workshop..... a metal lathe! This expands our machining capabillities to help produce acurate parts for jobs and tooling In addition to our existing milling machine. Often these older machines are more acurate than their newer counterparts out of China.
