04.01.2022 Hear from KDBA President Scott Parker Ray Owen Master Plan Starts! It is with great excitement that we can announce that after many years of consultation and deliberation that work will finally start on the Ray Owen Master Plan. With a $5M investment from the McGowan government and $1M of internal funding, the City of Kalamunda will be able to undertake the following work:$1.4M for water supply for the ovals $3.1M to upgrade & extend the existing oval $508,000 for ligh...ting to the oval $850,000 for stage 1 of the carpark redevelopment. Whilst this stage will not see any work done to increase the stadium capacity, KDBA is very thankful that our governments have identified the need for a more modern sporting precinct at Ray Owen Reserve. We hope that this start to the work will mean we are one step closer to the planned ten court stadium. If you haven’t already done so, please register your support for our project at www.gapp.org.au, a campaign to ask the Federal Government for funding towards sporting precincts across the Perth & Peel regions. We are all wanting to see our stadium expanded so let's all keep the conversations going. #kalamundabasketball #ourstrengthisourfamily
