19.01.2022 parkrun events across the world will be suspended until the end of June. As lockdown restrictions start to lift across some the state in which we operate, we’d like to thank everyone for not going to their parkrun venues, at parkrun time. Importantly, please do not organise group gatherings of any sort at your parkrun locations until such time as parkrun events have officially returned in your region. This is critical in order to preserve the excellent relationships we have ...with local communities and stakeholders, as well as to ensure the safety of both parkrunners and other users of the space. We continue to be cautious and thoughtful about parkrun’s return and we will, at all times, consider region-specific national and international government and public health guidance. Please take good care and enjoying a walk or run close to home . Hope to see all soon

19.01.2022 It’s important to stay home and stay safe, and follow the social distancing advice from the public health experts. But it's also important to check in with our fellow parkrunners. We miss our #parkrunday but we can still keep the social connections alive #loveparkrun

13.01.2022 Big news to share from parkrun

13.01.2022 Do you opt-in to receive emails from your local event? And parkrun HQ? It's the best way to stay in touch with all the latest news and fun opportunities availab...le at your local parkrun. Visit your parkrun profile and select 'Email Options' to update https://www.parkrun.com/profile/

13.01.2022 So how fast can you count 100 people?!?!

13.01.2022 Update on parkrun and to why WA is yet to start. Western Australia (WA) At present, the Western Australian Government has a requirement to maintain a 1.5 metre separation between people who are not from the same household. Our COVID-19 Framework allows for social distancing before and after the event, however we are unable to comply with a 1.5 metre separation during the event.... In addition, sport and recreation events must maintain a strict limit of a minimum of two square metres (2sqm) per patron which we cannot review until the 1.5 metre rule is removed. Discussions with the WA Department of Health are ongoing. Thanks, as always, for your support and patience.

12.01.2022 The best things in life are free Weekly 5km each Saturday morning You must registered once only and you need to bring your barcode to parkrun we ask all under our COVID plan to have a barcode when joining us. No bikes or scooters welcome at parkrun on the course . ... https://www.parkrun.com.au/register/

12.01.2022 We are in need of a Timekeeper for Saturday

11.01.2022 As parkrun looks as restarting Wa parkruns We though now would be a good time to start sharing reminders under the new COVID-19 framework set out all parkrunners will need to be registered and In order to record a walker, jogger, or runner’s attendance we ask them to bring a printed barcode on the day, and we scan that after they have crossed the finish line. Our global policy is No printed barcode, no time, no exception and it is important that all events abide by this ru...le. When people register for parkrun they are directed to print their barcode, which includes guidance that they must present it in order to receive a result. It also states that barcodes are not accepted on phones or other devices. We only accept printed barcodes, which can be on paper, on a key tag, or a wristband. Bringing a printed barcode has been a fundamental part of parkrun since 2008, and allows us to produce accurate results, shortly after each event, and at no cost to the participants.

10.01.2022 As we head into phase 4 of Covid-19 you are asking if parkrun will start again here before the rest of the country. Unfortunately NO parkrun can and only start back up when the entire country can start we can’t start state by state. Have a look at the below link for the full update from parkrun . We understand how hard this is for many but please understand parkrun needs to follow set rules, ... https://blog.parkrun.com//covid-19-coronavirus-update-23-/

05.01.2022 parkrun day NOT But don’t let it stop you for enjoying your 5km fix . Enjoy 5km then log it with under (not) parkrun . Here is a bit of info to help you out .... Do I have to do my 5k at my home parkrun course? No - in fact we would prefer it if you didn’t. You can walk, jog, or run your 5k anywhere you like (providing it is safe to do so). In your garden, to and from your house, it doesn’t matter where your 5k is. We definitely do not want parkrunners turning up to their usual parkrun course at parkrun time. Can I do a (not)parkrun on a treadmill? Yes, you can complete your 5k on a treadmill and then input your time on your profile. Do I have to do the same route every week? No, you can choose to do the same route, or something different every time, it’s entirely up to you.

05.01.2022 parkrun day is here . We look forward to seeing all this morning Please remember your barcode if taking part .
