25.01.2022 Seriously, how cute are these Mamas! I have no doubt Jess put them through their paces and yet they are still smiling!

24.01.2022 Well, term 2 was fun (thanks 'Rona)! But as of next week we are back at our venues with face to face classes. Yay!! Kanga-ing in our loungerooms was nice but nothing compares to being in the same room with you. We're kickstarting the new term with two classes a week:... Tuesday's 10am @ Mango Hill hall Thursday's 10am @ Creekside Cafe Registrations are now open and places are limited so get in quick to secure your spot. www.kangatrainingcaboolture.com

24.01.2022 Kanga is back next week! And... PreKanga North Lakes is back soon too!

24.01.2022 PreKanga is starting soon! Be sure to like PreKanga North Lakes to get all the updates.

23.01.2022 Heres a shout out to our gorgeous Kanga Joeys. Between us Jess and I have 5 Joeys and on Thursdays they are all with us at Creekside. Without a doubt its their highlight of the week! #kangajoeys #kangatrainingcaboolture #kangatrainingnorthlake #letskanga #bffs

22.01.2022 Like you, we are very happy to see restrictions starting to ease though we are still a little way off being able to resume face to face classes. But that's okay because our virtual classes you can do at home are so fun and oh so convenient! So keep it up, every single workout you do is doing so much for both your physical and emotional health. Kangatraining at home means you can do a safe postnatal workout at home with your baby, with a qualified instructor!... Visit our website kangatrainingcaboolture.com for more info.

21.01.2022 It was about 50/50 when it came to sleepy bubbas today. Can you guess who’s awake and who’s napping?? #kangatrainingcaboolture #kangatrainingnorthlakes #kangatrainingau #postnatalfitness #postpartumfitness #diastasisrecti #pelvicfloor #babywearing #babywearingfitness #mumandbub #kangamamas

21.01.2022 Who’s ready for some booty shaking at Kanga tomorrow?? www.kangatrainingcaboolture.com

21.01.2022 Due to the lockdown announced today there will be no classes this week. This feels eerily familiar as we also cut short our term 1 last year. But fingers crossed it will be short lived this time. My biggest concern is that the Easter eggs I bought for all of you will now end up being consumed entirely by me! ... Wishing you a safe Easter and we’ll see you soon.

21.01.2022 Do you follow the Kangatraining Australia page? Head over and give it a like. Heaps of great content!

20.01.2022 How amazing is this beautiful spring weather?! Warm, sunny days make me so happy and energised. Hubby on the other hand loves the cold, winter weather. Snuggling up nice and cosy. ... What do you like best?? : Kangatraining Townsville

19.01.2022 Its the strangest feeling isnt it? Being cooped up for months. Craving social interaction. Dreaming of all the things youd do if only you could.... All of the catch ups, the outings, the exercise, the play dates and get togethers... But then the restrictions start to lift and suddenly all those outings you imagined seem so hard. Anxiety levels rise. Leaving the house is daunting. Conversation is hard. Groups are overwhelming. We get it. We feel it too. Weve never been here before. This is all uncharted territory. Again. Just like going in to isolation, coming out has its own set of challenges. We want to encourage you that Kanga is a place you can come without worrying about feeling awkward or uncomfortable or out of it. Come in your trackies and unwashed hair, with food down your top and odd socks and have a boogie with your baby. Work up a bit of a sweat. Chat to some other mums who get it. Dance to some 90s tunes with terrible coordination and have some FUN! Come on, youll love it. Get out there and get your groove on. Credit: Kangatraining Australia

19.01.2022 This is what happens when trainers get together...we can’t help it but Kanga!! Time to bring this one back I think! Term 2 starts next week. We have spots available in both classes. Come and join us! www.kangatrainingcaboolture.com

19.01.2022 Well look who it is

19.01.2022 ~ Oh how we missed you ~ We are back! And it feels so good. Check out all these beautiful Mamas who braved the rain to Kanga with us today. I consider it a huge compliment when mums return to Kanga with their new baby. In this group there are a whopping six Mums who are back with bub number two (or three!). It’s such a pleasure to welcome back familiar faces and see your families grow.

18.01.2022 ~ Gratitude ~ The last 10 weeks have flown by and here we are at the end of another Kanga term. This week, as well as working up a sweat, busting some moves and drinking coffee, we chatted about gratitude and shared what we are grateful for. ... Did you know that when we express gratitude it triggers our brain to release happy hormones dopamine and serotonin? How cool is that! We are so thankful for all of you, our Kanga Mama tribe. It really is a pleasure to do what we do. And, after the year were experiencing, we are incredibly grateful to be able to gather (outside our homes). Weve truly been reminded of the importance of togetherness and not taking these simple things for granted. #kangatrainingcaboolture #kangatrainingnorthlakes #kangatrainingau #postnatalfitness #postpartumfitness #diastasisrecti #pelvicfloor #babywearing #babywearingfitness #mumandbub #kangamamas See more

17.01.2022 We forgot to take a pic in class this week so heres a cheeky team selfie. Jess (right) started Kanga with me a few years ago when her first baby was just a couple of months old. Fast forward a bit and she became an instructor and the Kanga queen of the Sunshine Coast. After a tricky second pregnancy Jess hung up her Kanga shoes for a bit. But with a Kanga sized void to fill, she was only too happy to jump in while I was growing Joey number three. ... Our initial plan went right out the window as COVID-19 took hold and Jess ended up running a whole term of virtual classes for our amazing mums to Kanga at home during isolation. Amazing! And now we are both back face to face with all of our beautiful mums and bubs. Jess runs the show while I run after all of our kids. There are still spaces available so come and have some fun with us. We look forward to meeting you. www.kangatrainingcaboolture.com

17.01.2022 This is a brilliant visual and explanation of the belly breathing and abdominal / pelvic floor engagement we do in class. Credit: Bad Yogi

17.01.2022 How exciting is this!! We are long time fans of Cheeky Little Monkeys Soft Play Hire and Cheeky Little Monkeys Play Centres. We can’t wait to welcome them to North Lakes.

16.01.2022 Let’s just pause and take in the genius of this....

16.01.2022 This is one of the best tips for getting the perfect fit in your carrier. Lifting bubby’s legs before you pull the back panel up will ensure a lovely deep seat and M position every time. Bub will be in the optimal position and you’ll notice a far more comfortable wearing experience to. Thank you Brooke Maree- Babywearing Education & Online Store!

14.01.2022 Doing a pelvic tuck/scoop at the end of your carrier set up makes a MASSIVE difference to optimally positioning your baby's spine and hips! Thank you Brooke Maree- Babywearing Education & Online Store for this handy little tip!

14.01.2022 I love this demonstration. One of the most common things I see with fitting carriers is wearing the waist band too low. Yes, sometimes it may need to be right up under your boobs! It can make such a difference to yours and your babies comfort and safety.

14.01.2022 Where my preggy Mamas at?? The lovely Hellene is kicking off her PreKanga classes this week with the first one tomorrow. There’s still time to register.

13.01.2022 Tomorrow! 9:15am Narangba 6:30pm Mango Hill Who's joining us?

13.01.2022 The post-Kanga endorphins will be running high tomorrow. That's right. We're back! Live and in person! It's not too late to register if you'd like to join us. We have a few spots left so get in quick. www.kangatrainingcaboolture.com

13.01.2022 This is a great read and certainly rings true. Remember ladies, showering for 5 minutes in peace is not self care it’s personal hygiene! As women, our load has become so great that we see taking any amount of time for ourselves as the equivalent of self-care. It’s not.

13.01.2022 Whos dealing with some bad nights at the moment??? This video popped up in my memories from last year and I loved seeing all these Mamas dancing with their bubs. And some of us have even had more babies since then! We cant wait to get back to dancing with you face to face very soon.

13.01.2022 "I don't know if I can do this." "I'm just so tired." "We haven't had any sleep." I think every Kangamum and every Kangatrainer have felt this way before a class. ... Those who are going through the sleepless nights of parenthood, you are not alone. Sometimes a coffee doesn't cut it. Sometimes you're so tired that everything feels impossible. But doing some low impact and safe exercise might just give you the energy and support you need to get through the day. Be surrounded by people who get it and people who care. Do you know how many times we are told at the end of class "I nearly didn't come today because we had an awful night last night...but I'm so glad I came." Do something for YOU, that your little one will love too. You will ALWAYS be glad you came to Kanga.

13.01.2022 I’m not sure who loves Kanga more...the Mummies or the babies....! We had another great class today with lots of happy mamas and bubs. I’d say there’ll be a few with sore legs tomorrow! Tuesday’s 10am @ Mango Hill Community Centre... www.kangatrainingcaboolture.com

13.01.2022 Look! There are Kanga classes on today and every day all over the country. We are at Mango Hill Community Centre today.

11.01.2022 Guilty of chucking your carrier into the car? This is a quick and easy way to fold your carrier and make sure no buckles or clips get slammed in car doors.

11.01.2022 Some exciting changes coming to ensure we bring you the best quality program possible.

11.01.2022 Sometimes floor work looks like this! But as long as your tummy is on five its still an effective exercise. At Kangatraining we teach you how to activate and strengthen your entire core and pelvic floor in a safe and gentle way. No crunches, floor planks or sit ups. ... All of our floor work is designed specifically for postnatal bodies and can even help to close abdominal separation using the fundamentals of the Tupler Technique. If your little one prefers you to a jungle gym, come and join us. Youll fit right in!

10.01.2022 ~ What are you bingeing right now? ~ In circle chat today we shared a guilty pleasure. What are you currently reading / watching / listening to that you just cant stop??

10.01.2022 Dressing our babies in the cooler weather can be tricky. Especially for bed time. Heres a really useful guide by Pregnancy Birth and Baby.

10.01.2022 Remember leaving the house before you had kids? Purse, keys, phone, out the door. Now, sometimes it feels impossible. Nappies, wipes, spare clothes...where are the damn keys? And so many scenarios to prepare for. So many variables and unknowns. What if he screams the whole time? What if Im the only one who doesnt have it together? What if he pukes or poos all over me? Or someone else?... Add a toddler in the mix and trying something unknown and sometimes it feels like it would just be easier to stay home. But being alone with that fear and those feelings doesnt help anyone. At Kangatraining youll feel welcomed and supported the moment you walk in the door. Youll see instantly that were all in this together. We know the challenges youre facing day today because we face them too. Youll meet other parents, youll move your body to great music, youll gain strength, fitness and friendship and most of all... youll have fun. You owe it to yourself to try. And youll be so glad you came.

09.01.2022 Babywearing a dribbler be like... Anyone else end up with a lovely wet patch??

09.01.2022 Staff Meeting Jess and I had a little team meeting today. Well us and our five Kanga joeys! Thats right, Kanga staff meetings are less boardrooms and PowerPoint presentations and more playgrounds and toddler chasing! We are really excited about our upcoming term as we look to transition back to face to face classes. We know this may seem daunting for some of you as we all learn how to be social again so we will continue to have a virtual class for a while as well. ... Miss Josephine is now almost 8 weeks old but Im not quite ready to have to be anywhere on time yet. So Jess will continue to hold down the fort for classes while I tinker in the background. But youll see us getting our groove on in a class here and there because, well, we just cant stay away! We will make an official announcement and open registrations soon.

09.01.2022 Delivering a high quality, fun and engaging class all whilst juggling our own children can be tough. Heck sometimes just preparing for class and getting everyone ready to leave home is a challenge! But like you, we are always so glad we came. You are the reason we love to do what we do.

08.01.2022 ~ Your health is our priority ~ While our thoughts are with our friends in Victoria as they bunker down again, we want to reassure you that we are still remaining vigilant with safety measures at our classes. Mats and carriers are washed after every class (and we encourage you to bring your own). ... Hand sanitizer is available for use before, during and after class. Social distancing is adhered to at all times. No communal toys for babies We are continuing to monitor the situation in our neck of the woods and will make further adjustments to our class format if needed. We are so thankful that we are able to be together again. Your health and safety remain our number one priority. See you tomorrow Mamas!

07.01.2022 ~ One Love ~ This week Jess brought back a super fun track from the archives. Here's the original version from a few years back. I love looking back and seeing how the boys have grown.... If you spot yourself in this video give us a comment. And if you'd like to get in on the action pop over to our website or message us for details. www.kangatrainingcaboolture.com

07.01.2022 ~ Sunny Side Up ~ At 38 weeks our midwife thought that bub might be posterior. It certainly would explain the severe pelvic pain and different sensations of babys movements in comparison to my first two pregnancies. Less than 48 hours after that midwife appointment I went into labour. We made a quick getaway to the hospital as my bubs tend to be in a hurry. And although this labour was also a relatively short 4 hours, it was so different. Lots of agonising back labour and ...long breaks between contractions. It seemed like things werent progressing but once she decided she was ready, Josephine made her grand entrance swiftly and sunny side up. Did you experience a back to back labour?

07.01.2022 I remember it so clearly. I was nearing the end of my first pregnancy, Kaine had just started his leave from work and we were out for a walk. We were on our way... back almost at our house when our friendly neighbours waved and asked how long we had to go. Ten days I replied with a naive glee. Two days later we were parents. Fast forward to today and Im walking that same path marvelling at my children. All three of them. And, almost as if he knew what I was thinking, the same neighbour waves and yells across the street Wow, look how your family has grown. And in that moment the last 5 years flashed before me. I blinked and the time was gone. Just where did the time go? The other day we were visiting my parents and as I buckled everyone into their car seats to leave I said to Dad Phew, three is a lot of kids. He smiled knowingly having had three of his own. Pretty soon youll be sitting in their home while they make you a coffee... ...And holding their babies, I added with a grin. Whoever said the days are long but the years are short couldnt have been more right. Ill think Ill hold on to them just a little tighter tonight.

06.01.2022 What a class today. Lots of new Mamas and lots of giggles! They are some of my favourite classes when I can hear Mums laughing (at themselves) and having a great time. Here’s a little giggle for your Tuesday.

06.01.2022 Just look at all of these Mamas snuggling with their bubs. I love that Kangatraining is a chance for Mums to do something great for themselves while their baby is kept close enough to kiss. Tuesday’s 10am @ Mango Hill Community Center ... www.kangatrainingcaboolture.com

06.01.2022 Whatever stage you’re at we’ve got you covered! How exciting is this!

06.01.2022 Here it is! The moment you've all been waiting for! CLASS TIMES Book in via the website: https://kangatraining.info//in/HelleneMaguire/booking/2363... or via Messenger. I'm really hoping to add a Redcliffe class, but can only do this if there is enough interest - please comment below or message me if Redcliffe is a location that interests you!

06.01.2022 Well look who’s featuring in Kangatraining Australia’s latest TikTok.... We do love a good solo around here. This one was a classic!! Come and have a laugh with us. Tuesday’s 10am @ Mango Hill Community Centre. ... www.kangatrainingcaboolture.com

05.01.2022 We get it. It can be super daunting to walk into a fitness class for the first time. But Kanga is different. Whether you come for a work out, to socialise or for guilt-free coffee and cake after, we are your people!... Come and check it out. You'll be so glad you did. www.kangatrainingcaboolture.com

05.01.2022 We know sometimes there are barriers that make it hard to leave the house to come to something like Kangatraining. We know how hard it is to get out the door when you havent slept, or your baby hates the car, or youre not feeling good about yourself, or your toddler wont cooperate, or youre not sure if it will be worth it. Over the next two weeks were going to share with you the stories of five Kangamums and all the doubts that might run through your mind about getting ...out of the house for something like Kanga. Right now, its more important than ever for parents to get out and connect with other parents; to move, to talk, to dance, to have fun. Please help us share our stories to encourage parents right across Australia right now to get involved. If youre still restricted at home, virtual classes are available. Otherwise, all of our trainers are ensuring we have best practice measures in place to ensure your safety for face to face classes. We understand your anxiety and worry about coming, but trust us when we say theyll disappear the moment you walk in the door. It's what we're all about. And you will be SO GLAD you came. X

04.01.2022 Hi, Welcome back to Kangatraining North Lakes for 2021. If we haven’t met yet, I’m Renee, and this is my squad. I started Kangatraining when my first baby was just a few months old. And now I’m heading into my 6th year as a trainer and have added two more joeys to the clan. ... Kanga has been part of my parenting journey since the beginning and it still brings us so much joy. But now it’s not just about our family but the community we have created along the way. While we might be ‘just’ a fitness class, supporting women through motherhood is really what we do. The squad will be looking a little different tomorrow. It will be my first class with just Miss Josephine as Jesse is now at school and Jasper has started kindy. So I may be grinning from ear to ear or an emotional wreck. Either way we can’t wait to dust off the cobwebs and boogie with you tomorrow. Who’s coming?? Tuesday’s, 10am - Mango Hill Community Centre www.kangatrainingcaboolture.com

04.01.2022 This the face of a happy mama who is 6 weeks postpartum and can Kanga again!! Allowing time for your body to rest and heal is so important after giving birth. New mums are required to recover for 6 weeks after a vaginal birth or 12 weeks following a cesarean before commencing Kangatraining. ... Once you are ready to return to exercise weve got your back with a specifically designed program with you in mind. Even if you have diastasis recti (abdominal separation), weak pelvic floor, prolapse, pelvic instability or other postpartum conditions. Kangatraining is tailored to suit your needs. I must say, it looks a bit different to the last class I ran back in March but I must say, how cool is Kanga in your lounge room! Thank you Jess, you are amazing! #kangatrainingcaboolture #kangatrainingnorthlakes #kangatrainingau #postnatalfitness #virtualkanga #postpartumfitness #babywearing #manduca #mumandbub #cadenshae #kangamamas #kangajoey

04.01.2022 It’s almost time...

03.01.2022 There are some super exciting things happening behind the scenes here. Not only are we preparing for a return to in-person classes but we are also studying hard to bring you some incredible improvements. Kangatraining has partnered with Internationally renowned Diastasis Recti expert Julie Tupler of Diastasis Rehab, to make changes to our class to ensure that all of our exercises are not only Diastasis Recti safe but also will have significant benefits of closing separation a...nd strengthening the core muscles. This means youll notice some changes to our floor work. The exercises may feel more challenging but thats because theyre going to be so effective in really targeting your tummy muscles. This is a really exciting time for Kangatraining and we cant wait for you to experience these changes. Bring on even more benefits of Kanga and your fittest, strongest self!

03.01.2022 It was a rainy old day (actually super lovely to have some rain) but that didn’t stop these lovely Mamas from getting their Kanga on today.

01.01.2022 Check out these beautiful post-Kanga smiles! Weve been adjusting to our life after lockdown for a little while now. And while we know were not out of the woods entirely yet, we are very grateful to be able to be back face to face to see these smiles in the real. Did you swear youd start exercising after isolation?... Did you promise to never take the ability to socialise for granted again? Did you miss doing something fun for yourself, being around other Mums and getting out of the house with your bub? Are you worried you may have forgotten how to interact with other humans? Us too! Come and find your tribe at Kanga. We promise youll be glad you did. Spots still available at our Tuesday class 10am @ Mango Hill Community Hall. Visit www.kangatrainingcaboolture.com to register.
