24.01.2022 Aerial Illusion is honoured to announce our upcoming performance in collaboration with Townsville based Aerialist Laura Shum at the Foots Hills Blues Roots Festival 2nd Oct 2020. (Friday 9pm) Our new project showcases Laura's passion for beautiful aesthetic and creative choreography with our own visual spectacle that combines theme-based artistic installations with engaging, entertaining performance experiences. 17.01.2022 Opening Ceremony of 2018 Elements Festival.

17.01.2022 In excited anticipation of future projects in 2020 and in appreciation of our collaboration at the opening ceremony of Elements in 2018 we would like to introduce Wilma: Fusing powerful, emotive live cello with formidable DJ skills, Wilma's stunning live show is unlike anything else in the global electronic music scene. Armed with a sound that encompasses the full gamut of the house and techno spectrum, Wilma has found her way onto the line-ups of premiere Australian festival...s Rainbow Serpent, Splendour In The Grass, Earth Frequency, Rabbits Eat Lettuce, Elements and Happy Daze, alongside several North American tours including dates at Burning Man in Nevada, Habitat Living Sound in Canada, and Monarch, 520 Jessie St and warehouse parties in San Francisco. Wilma’s debut on Beatport came in April of this year, collaborating with Dutch master Sandeep on a special string edit of For Whom The Bell Tolls on die Stube Records.

12.01.2022 New collaboration project ... with Neilo Images. Aerial Illusion is excited to work with Townsville photographer Neilo Images... we had our first improv session today and discussed some exciting new ideas we had for moving, artistic images combining Aerial Illusion’s soon to revealed upcoming performance... stay tuned!

11.01.2022 2019 Palm Creek Folk Festival - Aerial Illusion were excited to join the Palm Creek Festival Entertainment program. This was the first time we collaborated with youth artist Lillee Bowden Preston from Cajam circus. One of our passions is mentoring new artists and offering opportunities to be part of our creative process. The alien spaceship set high on the aerial rig set the space for a fantasy narrative contemporary aerial performance about a young girl’s strange alien dream...s - incorporating light effects, duo and solo aerial acts of Lyra and Silks as well as hoop dance and contemporary dance... (more photos to come) Meet Lillee Bowden Preston... She has been training in the circus arts since she was 5, she has been specialising in Lyra & contortion for the last 3 yrs. Lillee has had some amazing performance opportunities with Cajam Circus, NAFA, Palm creek, roving etc. Lillee is currently obsessed with juggling knives & is keen to advance her fire twirling skills as she has been invited to perform with circus Alabanza next year. 05.01.2022 Meet Jojo: Jojo is a dedicated and experienced performer with a vast professional background, including four years working on Carnival Cruise Lines as Head Dancer and aerialist. With over eight years of experience working with Full Radius Dance, Jojo has performed professionally across Europe and America, as well as facilitating movement inclusive workshops internationally. A personal highlight for her during this time was a dream opportunity to collaborate and perform with Cirque du Soleil in Atlanta. After returning to Australia, Jojo has continued her aerial training through Elation Aerials. Reigniting her passion for aerial arts, she joins with Kara Enigma to present Aerial Illusion, a collaborative project set to push the limits of the imagination and create a visually spectacular experience for all audiences.

02.01.2022 Meet Kara: Kara presents a unique aerial style, which draws from her diverse background in martial arts, acrobatics, hula-hoop and fire dance. As the creative director and founder of Hoopnosis LED entertainment, she has become a regular performer at many festivals and corporate events across the state, including Palm Creek Folk Festival and Townsville Eats. Her passion for collaborating with other local artists has brought her aerial art into large-scale fire productions, ci...rcus shows and cabarets all around North Queensland. One of her most memorable performance experiences being her participation in the Commonwealth Games Festival 2018. Her newest artistic project Aerial Illusion is a creative fusion of daring aerial acts, breath-taking costuming and multimedia, which will captivate audiences and immerse the senses. She joins her creative partner Jojo in this dynamic aerial duo as they take their artistic creations higher than the imagination. See more
