19.01.2022 This post about autism is so beautiful. If only people wouldnt judge. We used to judge when a child in a cafe was acting up because we didnt know.. we used to blame the parents. Kids need the best chance possible to be appreciated for what they are and what they are good at. We only learnt about Jaxy when he was 10yrs because no one around us, including schools and doctors were educated to spot the signs of autism and adhd. The signs are not always easy to see and its e...asy to think a child is just naughty - when they look normal Please read this and think about it the next time you see a naughty child or a parent struggling to control their child. Autism is: Unable to speak, or maybe speaking too much Hugging everyone, or disliking touch Escaping outside, Or trying to hide Excitedly flapping Inappropriate clapping Autism varies so much Won't wear a coat, or wears one all year round Fussy eater, or would eat dirt from the ground Screaming or humming Annoyingly drumming Toys in a line The same way every time Autism varies so much Struggling to learn, or has wonderful gifts Obsessions of numbers, trains, films or lifts Spinning around Throws things on the ground Constantly spitting Aggressively hitting Autism varies so much Alone without friends, or controls every game Always looks different, always dresses the same Swinging on doors Head banging on floors Freaks at the dryer Keeps climbing higher Autism varies so much. Can't answer questions, won't do as they're told In their own world or bossy and bold Over prepared Anxious and scared A spectrum so wide But they all bring us pride When autism touches our lives. 17.01.2022 Do you have a New Year’s Resolution? I always like to use this time of year to make new promises to myself and set new goals. For me, this year will be the year I work on myself. ... What COVID-19 has taught me, is that time needs to be taken to relax on my own, the need to create more work life balance and look after what and who is important. That being family, friends and clients (not people who don’t enlighten my life or whose life I can’t help enlighten in some way). Not to let situations get to me as I have done in the past. Life is too short. I'm also doing a 13-week fitness and health challenge and have just completed week 1. Only 12 to go!!! Ahhhh Please help by keeping me accountable. I’m a work in progress!! I would love to hear yours?
