07.01.2022 Katamatite Anzac Service 2021. Our Anzac March included our local police, CFA, Kinder children, school children and members of the community. The pipers greeted... the procession as they approached the memorial park. The Kindergarten children preformed the Welcome to County and the school children lead the service with the guidance of their principal Jason Whiteley. The ode was delivered by returned serviceman Greg Monk and there was complete silence as Noel Stedman played the last post and reveille. The singing of the Australian Anthem finalised the service and afterwards a morning tea was enjoyed by everyone. See more

05.01.2022 Katamatite Community Action Group and Tank Art are working together on a fabulous project - A mural for the town's children beside the playground Day 1 - the undercoat is on and the cracks fixed. Very exciting for our little town. Day- 2 First a bit of taping up before Tank fills in the background with sky and the foreground with dirt. Check it out and also buy fuel or a snack from The Shop - Katamatite then sit at the picnic tables in CR Wood Park. The mosaic poles are there as well. Across the road is Katamatite Post Office for your banking and bill paying needs... The Katamatite Bazaar will catch your eye with a huge collection of interesting items. You can get a coffee or snack at the Boosey Creek Cafe & Tavern, also in Beek Street, the main street and highway in Katamatite. A great little town with interesting architecture of the church. The Katamatite Lions Club Park is just down the road on the bank of the Boosey Creek. A great opportunity to admire the magnificent scrap metal art Wedge Tailed Eagle by Andrew Whitehead Sculptures This is where you will find the mural by Baden Johnson (first pic). 02.11.2021 Katamatite's "Big Day Out in a Little Town" event is on again. After its cancellation last year it will now be held on Sunday September 19 at the Muckatah Reserve. Several years ago the Katamatite Lions held their Vintage Rally's there. This is a much larger facility and will cater for everything our event will have on offer.
