24.01.2022 Attention KDC Families wanting to purchase second-hand books. This year, due to Covid restrictions we are unable to have a second-hand book shop as we have done in previous years. If you are wanting to purchase second-hand books you will need to check Compass for the order forms. The order form must be lodged at the General office by Friday 4th December. This is a firm deadline!... Also in Compass you will find another attachment with a list of books which are suitable to be purchased second-hand. The first page of this attachment clearly sets out the arrangements for both sellers and buyers.

Combining a facilitated session, online learning and a free driving lesson, RoadSmart prepares participants for a their licence and a lifetime of safe driving. The highlight event of the week is on Tuesday 1 December, 9.30am to 10.30am: Inclusive School Communities through game based learning presented by Dr Matthew Harrison from Digital Access and Inclusion Hub at University of Melbourne.

Map Your Future is a free course that supports young people to set goals, and get the right NDIS supports. If you are a disabled young person, or someone who works with disabled young people, come along to our free Map Your Future launch!... You do not have to be a NDIS participant to complete Map Your Future.

13.01.2022 WE DID IT !!! KDC GREAT AUSTRALIAN RELAY After a total distance of 14908.23 km we have all managed to travel around the entirety of Australia! Beginning in Keilor downs and ending back at school everyone’s combined effort of running, riding and walking meant that while in Lockdown and limited to 5km from home, we could still experience and learn about Australian towns and cities. 09.01.2022 Dear KDC Community, the latest Workabiliy issue outlines another online forum to be held on Wednesday 2 December 3pm-4pm. Invisible Disability and Intersectionality Not all disabilities are visible. In fact, 90% of disabilities are invisible. The lack of awareness and understanding of non-visible disabilities can lead to unique experiences of discrimination and marginalisation. This event will discuss how invisible disability and intersectionality overlap, as well as examining the role of the Victorian Gender Equality Strategy and DPC Diversity and Inclusion Strategy in building safer workplaces for all staff.

For those who paid their fees in 2020, we have applied credits to your accounts for the excursions that did not run due to Covid related restrictions. Please check balances prior to making payments and note that Elective charges have not yet been added as they are still being finalised. 04.01.2022 Attention families of Year 11 & 12 students, Next week (Monday 30th November), students will begin a one week step-up program of their chosen 2021 subjects. It is expected that all Year 10 & 11 students attend for the entire week, as teachers will be beginning the Year 11 & 12 courses and setting important reading and activities to be completed over the break. Trent McKenzie has been nominated for Best Blues and Roots album for his role as bassist for Tracy McNeil & the Goodlife, and their album "You Be The Lightning." Ed Farrar and Cayn Borthwick, our Brass and Woodwind teachers, have been nominated for Best World Music album for Melbourne Ska Orchestra's "Live at the Triffid." Ed played trumpet on the album, and Cayn arranged some of the music. Guitar teacher Robbie Melville, has been nominated for Best Jazz album, for his role as guitarist on Nat Bartsch's album 'Forever More.'
