19.01.2022 What a wonderful return to dressage after a halt in events. We had an amazing amount of entries new and old names. Thank you to all our hard working commit...tee and also our riders that lended a hand during this event Huge Thanks to our Judges - Virginia Holmes, Eva Topia & Helen Simpson. Big Thanks to all our pencillars also Thank you to all that helped the club maintain our COVID Safety Plan. Ensuring we follow this will help enable us to keep going under the current restrictions Thank you to everyones patience and understanding over lockout zones and lack of warm up areas. Working together it all fell into place As you all would have seen the permanent arena is moving along and VEC and all will be able to make the most out of this wonderful addition to the Showground. Its been a dream the club has had since moving all our events to Showground 6 years ago. And its happening along with many more equine improvement. 11.01.2022 It was a pleasure to visit Kempsey Showground today to see the new dressage arena and refurbished stables, funded by the NSW government as part of the Covid-19 ...stimulus package. Congratulations to showground coordinator Lisa Powlesland and everyone who worked on this project to create safe, workable facilities which are being put to good use. It was great to see the finished works and hear how they will benefit so many people - it’s also great to know there are more upgrades to come at Kempsey and other showgrounds across our region via the showground stimulus funding packages, supporting local jobs and providing better infrastructure for years to come.

06.01.2022 OFFICIAL OPENING OF THE MACLEAY VALLEY RECOVERY HUB THURSDAY 30 JULY The Macleay Valley Recovery Hub has been established as a single location centre for disas...ter assistance. It has been designed to prevent confusion or lost opportunity arising from the multiple agencies that are involved in the recovery process by bringing key support services together under one roof. Created with financial support from the State Government, the Hub is a one stop shop that provides residents with face-to-face support from Council as well as representatives from NSW Health, the Department of Primary Services and St Vincent de Paul. The hub is located at 57 Elbow Street, West Kempsey, next to Service NSW. It will launch with an open day on Thursday 30 July from 10am-4pm. The community is invited to drop in, say hello and find out what services and support are available

02.01.2022 Fantastic to see the locals supporting the Free Caravan Safety Day at Kempsey Showground The event was designed to increase driver awareness of the risks assoc...iated with towing and specifically to help drivers improve their understanding of why it’s important to get the weights, mass and dimensions right for the safety of themselves and other road users. The event was hosted by Transport for NSW, NSW Police and Council.
