12.01.2022 I am surprised (at the same time not surprised) that we have the largest home "in the world"? The reality is that typical Aussie home do need to be 200m2+ to have the basic requirements - 3 bedrooms, Family room, en-suite, larger kitchen, separate shared bathrooms and separate toilet for visitors and outdoor living areas with some backyard (even for courtyard homes I believe it is needed to maintain the typical Aussie backyard life style). The reason for larger home highlighted in this article is spot on - children of generation Y are now staying on with their parents much longer.
