20.01.2022 Travel Alert 2 According to the instructions received from Sri Lanka"s Health authorities, all travel originating from France, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Den...mark, Netherlands, Sweden and Austria to Sri Lanka will be banned from 15th of March 2020 for two (2) weeks ending 29th March 2020. The ban will commence on all flights arriving after 15th March 2020 2359hrs (Local Time in Sri Lanka) and end on 29th of March 2020 2400hrs (Local time in Sri Lanka) Accordingly all airlines are strongly instructed not to board passengers during the aforementioned period in any flights destined to Sri Lanka, Any passengers who are either originating from the aforementioned States or who have been in any of those countries within the last 14 days will not be boarded. SriLankan Airlines will comply and follow the instructions of the Health Department of Sri Lanka. 13.01.2022 Singapore Airlines has announced transit flights through Changi Airport, beginning with Australia and New Zealand. In preparation to receive passengers in trans...it, we’ve set up new Transit Holding Areas (THA) in Terminals 1 and 3 to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for both travellers and airport staff. Passengers flying through Changi will be guided to the THA in their connecting terminal. Access to the THA will be for transit passengers and authorised airport staff only. Temperature taking will be conducted at the entrance and the THA will be put through a regular deep cleaning and disinfection regime. We’ve also created an enclosed waiting area for use by airlines’ premium customers. Food and drinks will be served in this area. Subject to regulatory approvals, eligible passengers may also use their airline’s lounge during their transit time at Changi. More info: bit.ly/changiTHA

06.01.2022 [Travel Advisory] SINGAPORE AIRLINES OFFERS FEE WAIVERS AND FLEXIBLE REBOOKING FOR ALL CUSTOMERS Singapore Airlines is waiving all rebooking fees for tickets is...sued on or before 15 March 2020, for travel up to 31 May 2020, with immediate effect. Customers can cancel their existing flight itineraries, retain the value of their tickets and rebook their travel at a later date, when they are able to firm up their new travel plans. The new flight itinerary should be completed by 31 March 2021. This new policy will allow customers the flexibility to defer their travel plans and applies to all bookings for travel up to 31 May 2020. All rebooking fees will be waived, although a fare difference may apply for the new itinerary. SIA will continue to review its waiver policy and retains the flexibility to extend the cut-off date of 31 May 2020 as it assesses the impact of the Covid-19 outbreak on global air travel in the coming weeks. For all new SIA and SilkAir tickets issued from now to 31 March 2020, SIA will also waive change fees. Customers may contact us through our online form via https://bit.ly/2TP42OW. 02.01.2022 [Travel Advisory] COVID-19: SINGAPORE AIRLINES SERVICES TO EUROPE The Singapore authorities have taken the following steps to limit the risk of community spread... of Covid-19 in the country. From 2359 hours on 15 March 2020, all new visitors who have travelled to France, Germany, Italy and Spain within the last 14 days will not be allowed to enter or transit through Singapore. Returning citizens, residents and long-term visit pass holders (including work passes and permits, student pass, dependent’s pass) who have travelled to France, Germany, Italy and Spain within the last 14 days will be allowed entry into Singapore. However, they will be issued with a 14-day Stay-At-Home Notice (SHN). Long-term passholders will also require a letter from Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower (MOM), applied for by their employer, before being allowed entry. Employers can apply here: https://bit.ly/2IUvZyF for the MOM letter. From 25 March 2020, all SIA flights from Manchester will depart and arrive at Terminal 1 of Manchester Airport.
