25.01.2022 It is with a very sad heart that we have decided to close Dancing as of Sunday 22/3/2020. This decision has been very difficult, even though our studio is certainly large enough for all our classes, we feel we need to be safe for all our Dancing families & Staff. To the Parents who have already paid Term fees once we resume we will deduct 3 weeks off. As I am a small business & my only income, I would very much appreciate Parents finalize accounts. Kellie has recentl...y emailed many, please deduct 3 weeks of classes or PM and we can let you know balance. Thank you. We are currently looking into the best way for us to be in contact with students & do some Dancing, stretching etc, please keep checking our closed page for all the details. 11.01.2022 With all the chaos in the world at the present moment we would like to take the time to recognise & support our local small family businesses especially within the studio. If you happen to find yourself in a situation of isolation or lockdown, please know there are always options....we are all here to help each other. Some self home renovating perhaps we have many wonderful painters, tilers, builders etc on hand to help Hopkinson Painting EPIC Painting & Decorating Geraldt...on Ceramics just to name a few. Tarts & Co Catering I’m sure would do phone orders for food/coffee/flowers wherever needed.... let’s face it no one can last 2 weeks without coffee. It’s a good chance for some early Christmas or Birthday shopping, we have a number of wonderful dressmakers and hairdressers etc available if anyone is after gifts or vouchers Tuck Jump Activewear Active LIL Monkeys Blue Pumpkin Designs / DEMS Activewear Hair Fiber etc. If any interstate flights end up cancelled & you’re required to drive 1000km hit up Transwest Tyre & Auto for some good quality road tread and stay safe! No such thing as business rivals, when it comes to your little girls happy place it’s nothing but team work! (And a lot of banter ) Absolute champions! We can’t thank you enough for all that you do!

10.01.2022 IMPORTANT PLEASE FINALISE ALL ENROLMENTS ASAP! Classes are filling up extremely fast with some classes now FULL & others with very limited availability. Please bare with us during the first 2 weeks of Term. We require this time period to asses all classes, make any changes necessary & ensure students are in the correct groups to best benefit them. We will check class numbers, ages, abilities etc. & perhaps rename a few of the groups or give new times where absolutely necessa...ry. Please remember we are still under Phase 4 restrictions, once classes are full we will have no choice but to provide a waiting list until further notice. 06.01.2022 What a wonderful first day back at class! So lovely to see all the kids laughing, smiling & having fun! It’s been such a long break & we are all so excited to be back doing what we love! Kerry’s Batavia Coast Dance Centre... - We dance for fun and strive for children to develop their confidence, friendships & teamwork. We believe in positive encouragement, inclusivity and feedback. Our classes are restricted in size so every child receives more one-on-one teaching & attention, building not only a sense of family within our school but the wider community. We have age appropriate music & routines. This is our 32nd year of teaching children - we have had wonderful memories & fun with all our students at classes plus competitions, with great success, which we began attending from 1991 sometimes up to 4 times per year. We also perform at many local events. We have an annual Concert at the Queens Park Theatre which we encourage our students to participate. We have had many children attend classes for fun as beginners through to the opportunity to participate in competitions & with the training they receive, a career. 4 Students have taken the next step & headed to the Eastern States to further their Dancing; 3 then became Professional Dancers; TREVOR HOLLAND - began dancing at the age of 9 until the age of 21 when he moved to Sydney to do full time course with David Atkins Dynamite Dance Studios. Trevor performed in some of Australia’s most successful Musicals including Cats as McCavity/Plato which toured Australia in the big black top, Beauty & the Beast, Grease - The Arena Spectacular & Singing In The Rain. He also danced in several corporate events around the world as well as various commercial & television shows including the Logies, tapping with Rhonda Burchmore & also Disney Stage Shows in Hong Kong, Japan & Saudi Arabia. For 5 years Trevor was the Dance Captain on many cruise ships. He also was in high demand as a Dancing Teacher in Melbourne and taught at 8 different Dance Studios. He also adjudicated at many dance competitions in Melbourne, Sydney & Brisbane. Trevor was the first to leave Geraldton to further his dancing. DANIEL POWER - moved to Melbourne at the beginning of 2001 and successfully completed a 3 year Diploma Course at NICA (National Institute of Circus Arts). He then successfully auditioned & spent 3 years in Las Vegas as a Performer in the world famous Cirque Du Soleil’s show original cast of Ka. Daniel was then hired by Cirque Du Soleil, flown to all the capital cities & performed at corporate events for the sponsors. He then lived in Melbourne and was a coach at NICA & continued his acrobatic career. He also competed in the International Aerial Performance Tournament and achieved 2nd place. Daniel now resides in Geraldton and assists with teaching our acrobatic classes. LUKE SHERRELL - from the age of 7 until 19 years Luke danced at our Centre. In 98 we went to Melbourne CSTD competitions with Luke Winning the prestigious Dorothy Gladstone Tap Championship. He then moved to Sydney in 2001 and completed the Full Time Performing Arts Course at Brent Street Studios. He performed with international artists and appeared in television commercials & over the years performed in Dubai, Japan, Egypt, China to name a few. Luke was in the cast of the musical Miss Saigon which toured Australia and New Zealand. Some of my favorite memories are of sitting in the audience and watching my former students perform in Professional Shows and loving every minute. See more

How lucky are we to have such a beautiful venue host our wonderful family & friends for what is sure to be an amazing fun filled night of Dancing, Clapping & Cheering on all our dedicated & hard working dancers! ... We are so blessed to have such loving, fun, supportive parents & easy going kids to work with through all the changes of 2020! We can't thank them all enough for being Wonderful!!!! With Covid restrictions, Ticketing will be allocated to parents & family first & foremost (at a later date.) Any tickets remaining will be released to the general public! BRING ON CONCERT 2020!!!
